Re: MMA Thread

Lately, Joe Rogan's podcast has been clutch as far as talking about upcoming fighters. Who's the Brazilian kid that just fought Jorgensen? Rogan convinced me to put a 1/2 unit on him, not knowing too much.

Also, bloodyelbow.com is hands down the best MMA website around as far as news, opinion pieces, and editorials go.

Re: MMA Thread

jordan breen is a good analyst in my opinion so i sometimes listen to his podcast.

bloodyelbow used to be good but is mostly fluff and garbage now. still better than anything else I've used for news and stuff.

twitter is alright but too much noise.

bestfightodds.com for lines and movements, this thread is good for fight-talk + lineshopping, EDF mmathread good for general stuff even if it derails from time to time.

Re: MMA Thread

mmafighting.com is the best imo. Mostly because of Helwani's video interviews and mma hour.

I can't stand bloodyelbow.

Re: MMA Thread

I check Bloody Elbow and Sherdog pretty much every day. And yea Breen knows his ****, I listen to his show from time to time.

Would like to see Barry's next fight be against Lavar Johnson.

Why for? I only go there to watch their fight preview breakdowns due to their numerous gifs. The recency bias and ROT is lol (but that's true for most all MMA sites/journalists) but it's still entertaining.

Re: MMA Thread

bloodyelbow got rid of the best writers (or lost them to other sites), kept the morons, hired new morons.
It's like articles written by your average sherdog poster. (not bashing sherdog, some posters are great but it's a lot of **** to wade through)

Also seems like they go a bit far to get hits at times. They try to sensationalize stuff basically.

I still go there as the content is still somewhat interesting. I'm not really a fan of the style mmajunkie etc uses. Seem like a news-feed more than anything.

I'll try mmafighting.com, it looks promising. Like the mma hour, but never looked at much else.

Re: MMA Thread

Dana announced Hendricks vs Kos on twitter.

Everyone start pinching pennies so we can all bet everything we own on Hendricks when he's only -135.

Re: MMA Thread

Hendricks should take it unless Kos robs him like he robbed pierce.

Re: MMA Thread

Koscheck is the one who is overrated. By fans, media, and books. Thought ya'll learned last time when you all thought Kos would crush Pierce...
