To me it seems to be mostly a misunderstanding. Jumanji has bet millions without any major problems, but his record keeping is a joke (which he admits). There was one suspicious circumstance mentioned, but no hard proof. Again, he has literally bet millions and there have been no major problems.

AK seems like a good guy, but my opinion is that jumanji is fine to bet with. he just needs to keep better records and quote the vfl every time. but people seriously underestimate how hard it is to keep records when you are placing dozens of bets a day in a thread like that. some of the heavy bettors here probably have a better understanding. imagine if all of your bets were just with another person and you had to keep track of amount, line, juice, etc. by yourself... it's certainly not rocket science, but it is time consuming and a pain in the ass.

b00t is not talking about jumanji btw...

Reread my post. I'd be surprised if there were too many better. That could mean a lot of things but it certainly doesnt mean I think I'm the best. Far from it. If you really care to know what happened and what has happened since, read the thread instead of forming opinions based on a few baseless posts.

Indeed, but I've started to organize a lot better after this. Don't need idiots to come after me calling me various unwarranted names due to poor record keeping. Not sure if you read the thread either but there wasn't one time they showed anything resembling me screwing with lines. They never mentioned that but I gave them 2-3 days to find one instance and I'm sure there were a couple of people that looked for hours.

I don't know how to do it otherwise. I've done this always. I've used a couple of books but the trouble of getting money onto them has always steered me away. Indeed it's become a lot of trouble but on average you prob save about 5 cents which isn't all that bad. The negatives are getting larger by the day though.

This whole HSNL bet matching thing makes no sense to me. People prefer extensive record keeping, continual settling up, constantly trying to avoid angle shooters, the uncertainty of having offers matched, and the credit risk of being paid just to save a few cents in vig? I mean, I guess I understand if you just want to occasionally donk random NFL games for fun. But it's insane effort for someone who take sports gambling seriously. The few cents saved on vig is more than lost in time and effort that could spend doing something productive.

I'm confused why you guys keep referring to "a few cents in vig" as if that were insignificant. You're typically saving about $25 for a $1K bet. Why is that considered insignificant? I don't get it.

Even the people who have been scammed have saved many thousands of dollars overall. A guy like jumanji has "saved" six figures...

It's a tremendous time burden and additional risk for the reasons mentioned. More importantly, there's no guarantee a bet will be matched. If you're a high stakes winning sports bettor, getting a bet down at the desired price should be top priority as the line is more likely to move in your favor than not. With respect to money saved, one can save the same amount or even more by maintaining a stable of funded books and diligent line shopping.

But I noticed ProfessorBen uses it a lot so I guess I'm wrong.

People are mainly just paranoid since BF. I've been scammed for $1000 in all of my time there. To each their own though. I'd easily argue diligent line shopping takes much more time than extensive record keeping but just as you haven't been apart of the HSNL forum to have to do that, I haven't done much diligent line shopping.

You think it is less time consuming to "maintain a stable of funded books and diligently line shop" than it is too keep track of bets made with 3-4 people?

also where do you find VFL with 1k+ limits on the regular?

seems like most of the people just wait for pinny to move, look at who has offers on the opposite side and then book those bets
January-March *Angry and Bitter People* Chatter Thread Quote

who is consistently doing that? don't they just pay current pinny VFL

Nobody good would ever bet that way, and everyone else is just going to lose it all to the books/RSigley anyways, so does it really matter?

Unger and Doyle Brunson booked each others action for VFL on 6 fig bets for quite awhile ... until Stu stiffed him

Wow. Sounds like Doyle saved a **** load of money. Unless they did this for "quite a while" and somehow made less than 21 bets.

Some of you guys should try thinking about the math a little harder.

If you don't want to sweat the payout, withdraw your online bankroll and take it to Vegas. They have lovely -110 lines and never stiff.

Well damn, he shoulda kept betting with him then - considering all the savings.

The 'quite a while' was a throw away line I shouldn't of included I guess, I'm not confident on the # of bets ... just the stiffage
