i did. used PM's here to have post-oak get my side out at sbr, they ignored everything, were really vague whenever they did discuss it, and all i ever got out of lou via email was, 'the points are gone, if you want your account back, you can start over if you go pro through a different book'.
they probably could site that my brother and i loaned and bet points with each other occasionally and probably were both on our phones at the same time (for example: if we're both at his house and rickj put out a pick, we'd both go bet 1,000 points or whatever on our phones) on the same IP, but i'm pretty sure i proved beyond a reasonable doubt that we were different accounts.
in fact, the last response i got when i was unbanned (briefly, because i immediately posted how bad they were robbing me and got rebanned in like 4 minutes lol) was that i could have my account back, but my brother's account would remain perma'd.
when i emailed back 'soooo, if my brother IS my brother, what the **** did i do wrong?' and got no response. the day we got banned, lou sent an email to my brother that said, 'chemical how many accounts do you have?' which obviously meant that he thought i had 2 accounts.
after they got over the 'lol chemical is the one who was always all over scammers and HE just got banned' insta-reaction, basically everyone important realized how sbr stole from me especially after post oak posted all the emails/correspondence and my side of everything.
i literally begged that dude to call me. i could obviously easily prove that my brother and i don't live together or whatever they were claiming, but they never gave me a chance, just 'your points are gone. if you want to come back, go pro under a different book'.
shady business. especially when they claim to be the player's defense against shady books. they stumbled on that point system thing and became the biggest affiliate in sports betting. getting 35% on all 'pro' accounts is a gold mine, and they don't have to answer to anyone in their own book. people with 10,000+ points were/are terrified to speak out because 'all rulings are final' and when they say you'll 'have a chance to dispute' any rulings, they mean you'll get an email that says, 'your points are gone. sorry'.
i was pretty bitter for a while about losing the value of the points, but long-term it's more that i know i didn't do anything wrong. i liked their site/book/poker and had kinda carved out my own spot there and they just took it away because they didn't want to send out a couple hundred dollars' worth of gift cards.
i did post here when that all happened
in this thread, but nobody really cares. and like i said, i could post all the email correspondence with lou, but again, nobody really cares unless they just want to use it to clown me. i guess that's my own fault for not being a little more judicious with loaning/sending points to my brother, but i always figured even just looking at the sportsbook info on our pro books would've been enough to verify us being different people. pretty sure we both used bodog as our pro book, and we haven't been banned from bodog...
tbab going around in this forum and atf posting whatever is who he is. i've let people know about his scams and non-payments of prop bets for a while because in his core, he's a scumbag. when he thought he had a way to 'get me back', he's pm'ing people, anyone who will listen, that in fact tbab is the saint and mean wiper is the scammer.
it's all the internet, but yeah, in the end, when you know you're an honest, helpful and generous person and people think otherwise it sucks pretty bad. i've never stolen anything besides condoms when i was 16 in my life, and i had my reputation damaged at sbr because of who knows why, and now here too.
for the record, post-oak is awesome. definitely the type of person you could trust with just about anything. he was beyond helpful and we definitely have the same disdain for the darker side of sportsbetting and all that encompasses. there's no way to prove this obv, but i don't have it in me to be a watchdog of sorts on sbr with all the points scammers and whatnot and all the while be doing it myself.
so yeah, having my 'good name' tarnished sucks. not being given the opportunity to defend myself in any meaningful way sucks. tbab having whatever feelings of vengeance and misplaced anger towards me sucks. him threatening to kill me and posting my IP address sucks.
