Anyone see the cca oaks today? I had the 2nd place finisher for a win/place bet and thought able Tasman would be taken down bc ending looked kinda shotty and it wasn't a pletcher horse haha. Thought they would have no problem taking down a baffert. Didn't get a great view at the track of the stretch run but looked like horse could have been taken down.

Took a shot against Tasman bc there was no pace in the race. Thought she would have trouble closing but mike smith def rode a great race. Give him props for that ride as I feel he prolly doesn't win race if he makes his move on final corner.

admittedly I had AT. I watched the reply numerous times .Twinspires played it from tons of angles even rear view.
Smith was aggressive as hell
he squeezed Elate but the horses never really touched. he was lucky the whip never touched her came close . no banging and the stride was not compromised.
fortunate for me the stewards left it up.
the correct call . aggressive ride was rewarded

Colt agree Money Mike has done this before and saw him do it start of race before as well just solid aggressive riding there.

Andy Serling showed himself yesterday well only damn time the guy said a decent word was when a sponsor was in the booth. No way i don't tell the guy to go sit the F somewhere else. Complete tool imo.

Stupid question. Does elate go by if he doesn't get in so close? I say prolly. I think it's unfair. I feel horses get spooked with such little space and slow down a little. I say this bc had opposite side of action so obv I like it if I win so not a fan of the move. Feel Jose Ortiz could have gotten a dq first if he pulls horse a little and fakes it.

I honestly thought AT would lug down lane with such an early move. I feel salty should be a look at in next race. Felt she wins if doesn't break so poorly. Probably spotted the field 3-5 lengths due to starters mistake. I felt they shouldn't have started so quickly. If I bet salty I would have been super angry how quickly the dropped the gates after she got in.

Thoughts on jim dandy this week? I wanna play always dreaming big if not a lot of early pace in the race however I'm quite sure he will be overbey as he's a pletcher horse in ny. Think cappers should avoid pletcher horses at all costs as they almost always are bet hard (unless you feel super strong about the horse)and prolly way over what tur odds are. Just my opinion.

If i am $Mike i ask what rules were broken? Stewards say none exactly BUT...Mike knew damn well it would intimidate or try to the other horse spook and put pressure on him none of this is against the rules and he took advantage of nothing then because he did nothing outside of anything period! He was an aggressive effort and tactical move and if i had some $$$ on it that is EXACTLY what i want my $$$ to do for me to try and win.

So the stewards are saying what then exactly Greg? We will take you down out of spite(see crested blazer episode) next time because the optics were sketchy and we are not about fairly enforcing rules on each horse race no matter the price? Love to hear them explain that one. I love the 8 horse in the 7th race. Chad brown horse on turf with me at 5/2. Hope it stays around there but I highely doubt it. Feel he will be hammered. Love his speed figs, run style, and trainer. Pace setup has 3 earlier speed horses so feel this race sets up for him extremely well. Only other good closer coming off long layoff so I'll bet him heavy prolly. Will prolly single ap indian in p4, with always dreaming + cloud computing, and go deeper in other two hoping for a price in at least one.

Ap indian worries me but feel he matches well against field without whitmore. Tough single and I hope it gets through but will be tough. Will post pick 4 tomorrow

Anyone find the dandy crazy? I had a 60 win bet on ad and thought he had it in the bag when they did 1/2 in 48. Anyone that had winner looks like a genius. Didn't think a first time dirt starter could win like he did. Feel the track played funky as speed was holding early on in day.

The bc classic should be interesting. I feel playing against arrogate is the play unless he dominates next race. Also I feel in the Whitney, gun runner is a solid single. No way I can see keen ice running like last race. THink gun runner is steps above field in Whitney right now. Wouldnprolly pit him as best horse now after that arrogate flop. Gun runner always comes to race imo and has never really even had a clunker race.

Finally my toga trip, had my 3 friends that never bet at a track bet horses I capped as solid shots to win. My 3 friends made money at the track and I was a loser for day due to always dreaming win bet. Tough game but feel my capping skills were solid for day. I made a point to play against ascend in the bowling green and had the race 7 pegged perfectly for my biggest win/place bet for the day.

The whitney looks interesting today. I like gun runner on form and class however pace is suspect. Feel he likes to be up front per last few race lines. With a rabbit and a lot of early pace, could see upset in place. Feel keen ice is way to go with expected pace. Not playing bc price is meh on gun runner. If he can rate, love his chances.

I'll show my pick 4 I'm not playing. Not confident in 2 races I would go short in def a pass. Also don't see many big dogs with chance to win in 2 races I went deeper in.
