Just looked at will pays (should not have) and have a nice sweat for the thread on the #1 here in the 5th for a PK5 hit. 27.50 ticket so not nervous but excited for sure to say the least.

My hands are shaking as i type but 22.50 got me 11,879.50 today

Thanks renodoc not sure what your saying with the letters but appreciate the congrats. Hit it thru my book but lost out on a $5 6 teamer that threw me off adding yesterday plus i was pretty damn happy. Had it 3x1x3x5x1 with Mott on the grass singled (which is a go to single for me often like when we chased the rainbow at GP i did the same and caught Mott on grass at 9-1 that day) and went against the fav in the last singled. My $$ play was including the #8 at 38-1 because i have saw Sciacca blow up too many of my tickets with bombs that 1,249 times bitten i finally learn Off to the Big House fellas and watch my Michigan Wolverines. Go Blue!

TheWalk...I saw this damn horse pop up at Saratoga and pretended i did not see it and put together a PK5 that was alive because of a post time scratched it looked like only to have a horse named TheWalk KO my Ticket...TheWalk use to be a poster itt that was a self described Eddie Mush and i use to blame all bad beats and generally all bad things in life on him and he was a great sport and was a cool cat and hope somewhere the guy is alright.

EddyB i appreciate that a lot man thank you! I do and am most known for west coast capping but i have had better success the last couple years with the NYRA circuit. I like SA and really concentrate on it Dec 26th start of the winter/spring meet.

Had a few prices also today where they did not hit the W paid decent as well like the #9 in the 8th placing at 18-1.

I added blinkers also which seems to help me focus

Somewhere there was a quote from someone at DMR that players don't care or have regard for the 5/6 consolation pay.
We certainly do and have great memories and a feeling of accomplishment going five for six in a tough sequence. Several we have had been in the 1-1500 range nothing to sneeze at from a budget ticket. We chose Legatissimo over Stephanie's Kitten last fall for a 43K beat in the BC but picked up 1500 or so for 5/6. There are monster 5/6 10 20 40K and more that certainly do happen and I'm always impressed with tickets that have em.
So I guess I'm hoping it's not a trend with the few remaining pools. To me the best scenario is carries (some otherwise inflated pools) into big stakes Saturday's that really makes for the perfect handicapping fan gamble watching event. Millions in a pool to low level claimers is a let down. Maybe a thought would be instead of doling out at meet end. Start and finish the mandatory on like a Pacific Classic type of day and just hold the pool thru the off season.

Prickly i share the same opinion i was never really in favor of it myself for a lot of the reason you mentioned as well. Plenty of times after the 1st leg i have said 'Alive to five' then tear it up after the 2nd leg but it still being a $2 min is a twist and will have to see how it is carried etc to see what kind of angle or crease i could see to use it to an advantage if possible.
