Im looking forward to seeing Texas Red vs Pharroh finally. Private Zone running same day. Im hoping i hear peoples thoughts on the 10th at Saratoga on Saturday.

Beholder was awesome. Connections asking for match race was really cool.

Thursday at Del Mar race 3 the 4 horse georges main man. ATB bet.

I'm guessing 0.25 on AP, which should provide enough value finding somebody to beat him. This race sets up horribly for AP.

AP obviously top horse, but many have come to Saratoga and many have failed. This might be a spot for me where I go all/all/AP and then do a 7 horse tri box and throw AP out. Just wait for the big balloons. Will def have a Texas Red/all/all tri as well and maybe throw out AP altogether.

just gonna put this out here now.. castellano doesn't get to ride in the 1 million dollar turf race. stewerts choice.. I say he has at least... at least 4 wins Saturday. don't leave him off any multi ticket.

My tickets have been expensive at Saratoga this year. I have my horses that I handicap. And afterwards I always have to include Castellano and Ortiz. Can't deny them.

Toga def does not make it any more clear with the PP's Just some tough races where you end up spreading more than normal and tickets blow up in price...nice when they hit though...I have been about break even both tournament and ticket wise for Saratoga and Del Mar but looking to change that and make a score this weekend. Best of luck on everyone's plays itt this weekend.

Disagree, this race sets up perfect. He draws inside and there is no speed. He won't lose any ground breaking inside and will go straight to the front.

Just a reminder if you are going to gamble on the Travers, don't forget to key American Pharoah 3rd and 4th on some tri and superfectas as well.

Agree with this but I think Texas red is interesting at a price. Feel like he's going off at worse odds than 8-1 though sadly. Think pharoah wins easily if he sets slow fractions. Who knows though he has to have an off day sooner or later. I think Texas red or frosted are only two horses that can beat him though. I'll prolly single ap in p4 and p3 tickets but also have a second route where I go Texas red/frosted. Pick 4 is going to pay nice if we can beat ap, he's going to be a single for a lot of people

Also I like tepin in race after travers. Think he will be a solid favorite to bet. His performance in the Diana was nice and he's cutting back in distance and field is a little easier. Like private zone > big beast and think competive edge is a beatable favorite

It really seems to me his off day was the Derby.

I'm on board with you for the Pick4/ Pick6. Single PZ & AP and then spread in the others and root for bombs.

I'm interested in Tale of S'avall in the 4th race. Barclay Tagg is hot for this sire and Fipke keeping it as a homebred makes me think there could be something there.

What about Flintshire? I feel he's a solid single. Maybe 2-3 horses in that field can beat him but he looked really hoisin the breeders cup race turf race he was in.

AP was off on derby day? Naw, Firing Line ran his eyeballs out. He got a great ride and left it on the field. Even with his left guard hogging the rail-AP had to run pretty hard to win.

Saratoga 8/29/15

6.) 4-6-5
7.) 6-7-8
8.) 4-7-10
9.) 5-7-9
10.) 6-2-4
11.) 2-6-10
12.) 7-1-4
13.) 10-12-6

Just a crazy tough card today at Toga imo. PZ has 5 ace works coming into today's race but can not see on the PP's back to back wins anytime recent and that is only reason i do not have PZ on top.

Hope everyone itt makes some $$ today i know i will be getting after it more today myself. BOL all.

Ugh got through 3 legs of pick 4 but being cheap crushed me. Only had ap and Texas red for a $20 ticket. Think I should stop playing pick 4s bc this happens a lot to me. Should play keen ice + frosted as ap seemed beatable at toga in my eyes slightly. Hit the super in the race but still a losing day. Kinda not surprised about ap. a lot of articles I read made it sound like he was unbeatable which is quite hilarious in horse racing. I felt the fact they shipped him there and he arrived maybe on Thursday was really not a great move. Think the connections should have had him there a week or two ago but what do I know. I'm just a horseplayer. Thoughts?

In another 37 years I'll keep a better eye out. KIce was a bit hidden there but it was Javier.
Didn't want to see the champ get beat esp. after putting away frosted. Bit of poetry to it tho fitting in with ghosts of the past.

Lots of reasons for sure JK for AP finishing 2nd and i have not read anything anywhere because i watched the race and it was over for 3 sec and i had all electronics shut down and was back to getting sick. Some days i take a real azz kickin and yesterday was my turn again i guess

Watched replay this morning, have read no comments anywhere and if i am out of line in my thinking here let me know but i think VE got AP beat by not doing his homework. It was a contended lead throughout AP was pressured by Frosted but when Frosted moved and put a half body in front way to early in the last turn i am of the opinion VE should of just remained patient because in his head he has to be thinking Frosted might just "hit it" again like he did in Florida and stop and trust when you ask AP to move he will go right on by Frosted. I thought VE moving with Frosted cost him because he did just that and rallied to beat Frosted and the wire was suppose to be right there and glory etc etc...but with VE moving at same time he came up that last 100 short and you could see he was short and ALL heart by reaching for something that was not there (LOVED SEEING THAT) but KI ran a perfect race and did what KI does. Very happy for DR he is such a stand up quality horseman imo. I have to think either VE felt he had to move there with Frosted or misjudged it as i am thinking or AP just was not the same which is fine he had nothing left to show me but still did in a big way and everyone else with an eye for excellence and that is the heart of a champ.

4/6 PK 6...3/4 PK4...Was singled to AP for PK4 $22 x5 $110 ticket.

AP didn't look great before the race IMO. Looked like he was sweating a bit before the race started. Didn't like him going to the lead with Frosted pushing him the whole time. Very frustrated I was not able to play yesterday because I was at a family obligation. Thought AP was an easy play against like somebody else said to cancel out 70% of entries if he loses. His chart said he was due for the bounce, having watched Saratoga over the last 20 years I'm never taking AP in this spot. Shocked nobody hit the pick 6.

I was saying to myself well i have the TC winner singled for a PK4 winner and if that is not good enough to beat a place called the graveyard of favorites i do not know what will be. You mentioned a few reasons but an easy play against imo was only because of the price not the horse but you obv know Toga much better than myself no doubt. I had TR in tournament play and the Sherriffs horse at 34-1 or something because i was doing so well i needed a capper.

Did some reading and looks like both BB and VE knew AP was not the same yesterday so def going to trust what they have to say than what i thought.

Well my rationale which I'm sure costs me a lot is do I really want to hit a $350 Pick 4. Not really, so I'm always going for the big payout. Hey big carryover today though, maybe I can hit that.

Did anyone here hit the pick 4? Solid payout for what I consider two semi easy races to cap before the travers. Also thoughts on retiring ap? I think it's kinda crazy. He finished 2nd in the travers what looked like an off day for him. I agree with above post that said he shouldn't have went with frosted late. 2nd place in travers is a good finish. I know it can hurt his stud fee if he loses again but I would be really disappointed if he doesn't run in the bc Classic. Think he will lose to older honestly but gotta put him that race. A win there would be a great way to end his career.
