I am going to link an article from bloodhorse here that explains the situation with Stronach that i touched on last week. In the last few paragraphs he mentions exchange wagering (you will love this as much as me pdiggz) and that they (xpressbet) are not anti exchange wagering which was approved 2 F'n years ago in CA and NJ but not going to offer the product to their consumer because it would involve a 3rd party meaning even after 2 years that they are not any more close to having it up and running on their xpressbet platform...meaning F the player who cares how much of a want there is for it we have our priorities and that is not one of them at the time and granted there are plenty of problems to go around in horse racing but lack of options for wagering is the biggest as a horseplayer imo. To me playing the tote compared to the option of playing on an exchange platform is no comparison and by far exchange wagering is exactly the shake up and what is needed for the industry...but wait THERE is a cross country PK4 ..woohoo thinking outside the box there fellas...what a joke. Think i wrote 2 years ago they would pull this chit until they could figure out how to steal the most they could. How much $$$ did SA and the brightest F'n minds in the business cost the horseplayer with switching surfaces 3 times in 5 years?

Did decent in 7th today to salvage a positive roi on my exotic misses on the day.

Top 3 are Twinspires,Xpressbet and TVG. They will all offer a 1st time deposit bonus and each is a solid platform imo and you could not go too wrong with either 3. Bonus ho and try all 3 GL

Thanks Honcho, which is your favorite if you had to choose just one?

Hope to be reporting some wins here in the near future. Big day tomorrow!

Any thoughts on American pharaoh? Think I'm going to load up on him at 10-1 in Kentucky derby futures. Feel like he leaves gate at derby a favorite maybe at 2/1 to 6/1 range if he stays healthy.

The way he beat texas red and calculator in the frontrunner stakes was amazing. Looked like he had a lot left in tank and jockey didn't have to even whip horse to keep him going at end. Obviously I know this is a high risk bet as horse is coming off injury and derby is a tough race to win with so many horses. Just wondering what better horse players think?

Hi - Thx for any replies.

I am going to visit the Longshot simulcast centre at Aquaduct, March 2-6.

(No racing 2-5).

The pictures on the website look v encouragng, but, reviews on both Trip Avisor/google, are less enthusiastic - thou, a few are from yrs ago.

Has anyone been recently ? Do u have to pre-book an individual booth - can u take in a laptop/tablet/use their power to charge etc ?

I want to watch some sports, and place a few bets .. nothing major - but, presume its pretty safe.

Cheers

Not claiming to be a better horseplayer. At that, I think American Pharaoh still has much to prove. Personally, a little skeptical about the combination of being by Pioneer of the Nile, and ouchy issues. That being said, it seems that BB is pretty high on this one's ability. 10 to 1 at this point seems a little crazy. Now if he sweeps the San Felipe, Rebel, and Arkansas Derby, you got it in way good. I hope he does Well.

BB imo is either instructed (which i doubt very much) or he really believes AP is a triple crown horse not just a Derby horse. He has handled AP with kid gloves no doubt about it but i just can not get it out of my head that BB with his own exp and watching the triple crown unfold the way it has the past few years this is a strategy by him to again imo to have 2 preps tops and then the 3 race grind for the TC...I really think this is how he is thinking with AP not just a KYD win but the whole thing. That said i do not think he makes it to the starting gate the 1st Sat in May.

JK as i have always said since day 1 here it is your $$ invest it how you see it and nice to see you itt.

Dortmund showed me what i already knew but it was awesome to see a repeat performance of all heart because he was beat but refused to lose...cant coach height in basketball and cant teach heart in a horse and Dortmund has in 10 folds.

Forget the horses name but it was Sat in NY and the horse came out of the gate decided to take a mouth full of dirt and spot the field 8 lengths then turn on a turn of foot like a freak and win the race (Far From Over) had to look up name. That was the kind of move i am looking for the 1st Sat in May myself.

Ok i just saw this and goes to show how far my head has been up a horses backside here of late but they took down the Clarion where i lived in LV and i had no clue they were doing this. If you look in the video the very top room in the clip on the left side room 1201 was me. Nothing fancy but perfect for me and if i did not get so damn sick out there i would still be there obv diff hotel
I would have to drag the laptop and set it on the toilet and drag the ottoman in the bathroom to sit on to get internet so i could play DW tourneys instead of going down to the computer room. Think it was the cheetah network if i remember right because i would call down and bytch to Steve to wake that cheetah up and get his azz running so the internet would work.

Good days you open the drapes and look down at the pool and there were ladys in thongs...bad days still thongs but on dudes. I loved being there and living in LV life is just a weird sob at times.

Also add clip of my fav commercial i would see every damn night before i crashed and laughed.

Trust me you are probably a better horseplayer than me. I like to bet horses for fun but expect to lose. I know the futures KD pool is super ev- but I like the sweat and gives me a reason to watch prep races.

Listening to Byk now and hearing what the reaction to the TVG/HRTV merger that came down yesterday. I wrote about a month back about the business and the consolidation of the product in the future and where i saw tracks 1st happening i was not shocked by this at all. I do not watch either any longer so no affect to me but the one thing that screams about all the on air so called talent from both there is not one person who makes me want to watch everyday be it their personality or menu of interviews. I never miss Steve Byk and it is not that i am a huge Byk fan but he has plenty of top notch trainers and players and covers the contest scene as well which i enjoy. I would enjoy a laugh with Steve at the windows making a wager but imagine we are going opposite ways to our seats.

The best part of the merger imo is the gambling aspect and to be honest and i only base this on a gut feeling period is i do not think Stronach is for the best of the sport as they are the appearance of being that so being on the outside now i believe is better for the player.

Mark my words and i have said it forever in here but with Betfair now having an "IN" with a platform already established to offer Exchange Wagering to US customers thru TVG that which ever ADW is first to provide Exchange Wagering is going to be the Nino Brown of the horse business period! Chit will take off like crack thru the hood in early 80's imo.

hey honcho i hear what your saying and tvg wanted this and has been speaking of it since before hollywood park went off and they bought the name just because. im looking at the free pps for tomorrows FOY is this a joke. i know the horse is coming off 40 days off but really. 3rd choice and hes 2 seconds faster then the others at the distance. ITSAKNOCKOUT is going to crush this group tomorrow. ok maybe not crush but she have no problem with them. he should have no problem with his competition going to the front the others who try to test him will fall so the only way to lose is cant handle the distance. he will then get picked off i say by blue grass singer who on paper is better than rasarios horse but its rasario so he has a shot. as far as the pick 4 well i guess i have 2 singles with main sequence. so coverage all around the other 2 races in between gl all.

sorry not at the distance but at a mile

I think frosted runs a solid race for once and wins. I believe frosted gets blinkers today and I feel as long as pace is a little quicker than the holy bull (which was a pretty slow early pace), frosted might have a solid shot to win. His post position is more ideal than past two races. Will include frosted, itsanknockout, and upstart in pick 4s and pick 3s. Think no one else has a shot in foy honestly other than those 3.

willing to give bluegrass singer 1 more look. didnt like his holy bull. but bluegrass cats can run a long way. unbridleds song mare under too. 1 more chance. not sold on frosted - not much improvement, blinkers on feels like last ditch hail mary. he likes to finish 2nd, maybe he figures it out today? i give him 1 more chance too

real bad group in the FoY. frosted looked like a winner turning for home and totally shut it down. and upstart looked done at that point. the group in the risen star seems mediocre too. hmm. might need to look out west again this yr.

No way you take Upstart down there and i think it was a horrible DQ but par for the course when dealing with GP and their stewards which are by far and that is saying a lot but by far the most inconsistent in the industry. Pletchers horse was never getting by and never going to win period imo and the infraction was caused by the rail horse but still he was never going to beat Upstart the stewards did. I had MS,ALL,Upstart,ALL but #7 in last for the PK4 and still pist because i capped it right and i hit the PK4 the stewards decided i didnt!

From last yr's phantom DQ's and this yr's this IS the last time i wager a dime on GP ever. I am a tourney player and will always watch and cap but only playing GP if they show up in a tourney i am in but sure as hell not a tote play.

Pdiggz i like Pletchers horse from last Saturday at Aqueduct Far From Over from the East coast and AP from west right now.

I think it was a good call by GP but def was caused by frosted. If frosted wasn't there (and bump into upstart), upstart probably wins the race. Looked like frosted was going to win the race and in solid position out of final turn but didn't get distance.
