Sluss thanks a lot man i appreciate that and do not be a stranger.
To try and help out on how i heard it on Byk a couple weeks back about the signal not being shown or bets taken i believe is a east coast thing with Stronach being at the center of this with the tracks. The way the rep for Stronach explained it is that they offered to do business as usual while in negotiations but the tracks refused.
At the center of the mess is ofcorse $$$ and if i hear right by the rep of Stronach and he did sound believable although we always show the rose colored glass side of our own positions. The split as i heard it is 70/30 with the tracks where the wager is placed gets the 70 and the track the race was actually run at gets the 30. That model does imo seem backwards. The reason so as i heard it was a track like Atlantic City which is now no live racing is still accepting otb at their track and getting the 70% and really contributing nothing more than a platform to wager. Why would not more tracks open and offer just otb style and collect the lions share of the split.
The tracks know they only have any positional strength is if they stick together and i believe rely on the hot headed horseplayer like myself who could give a chit less about the politics involved and just want to get down on a play. So they decided not to allow simulcast or wagering imo.
It will get figured out but the horse tracks will imo be consolidated to where there are just going to be a few SA and CHD's with bringing the track inside your home with adw. Who does not like being able to work in NY and LA or Miami in the same day...well some of us in miami
