Here is a good article by Crist about whats going on behind the scenes by some just complete a-holes who know nothing about what makes horseracing, but sit on the California Horse Racing Board. http://www.drf.com/news/bettors-dese...r-takeout-hike

My 2 biggest wagering days have always been Sat,Sun,and have been my most profitable....That said,i will NOT for the rest of the SA meet wager on these 2 days there. I have always been a person to put up or shut up,so this is my put up until they change the takeout in SoCal,or remove the imbeciles that currently make up the CA Horse Racing Commision. It is us the fan's,horse cappers/wagerers that give you your job,and your greed and political posturing has no place in this sport. So either CA Horse Racing Commision people pull your head out of your backsides, and open your eyes and ears to the environment of the racing community right now,or face having your job being gelded by your own arrogance.

Hey guys,

Could you give me some 2011 Kentucky Derby future pics?

http://www.brisnet.com/php/fw/bris_library/Index

I like to send my dad some bets for his B-Day every January and I don't have any time to research tonight. He is a California homer, but mostly, I just want to make sure I don't pick horses that are basically out of it already. I did that last year. I usually make 4 or 5 picks.

Thanks!!! Even a good updated website would be cool too...

there's a horse in the futures called "Head Honcho". Definitely a hunch play based solely on the screenname of the most famous 2+2 horse racing poster.

Head Honcho is 175-1 so definitely worth a shot. I think these wagers are a $5 minimum. Anyways, I just realized (and found the post) from when I had the exact same request last year. I think it was post 996 in this thread and M.Honcho suggested Lookin at Lucky which of course, was sorta right on as I think Lucky was the fav going in, but didn't win. I did have Lucky on my dads future ticket, but as I recall, I think it was only 10-1 or something like that.

Hey there Tcash, and yes i remember who you are right off when i read your post today. I believe you asked for a CA based horse for your father,so i gave you LAL. I have a stupid memory,i am not going to say its eidetic, and i have tried to explain it to Kev (not very well) before, and i dont exactly understand it myself. Someone can verbally tell me a phone number for example and there is no chance i could remember it,but if it was wrote down on a piece of paper and i saw it i could remember it from seeing it in my head, and where i read it. Makes no sense to me at all,but not being to much more longwinded yes i remember you

Walk, thanks i will take a look at the pools in a few for sure for Head Honcho i have been cleaning out/updating my virtual stable and thats always a pita.

Haha...thanks. I just found this website which I'm sure you guys know all about, but it was helpful too. I liked Astrology a lot until I read some comment on the site saying the horse doesn't give his all.

Obviously, it looks like Uncle Mo is a big fav, but I'm looking for some sleepers too...wanna mix up the bets. Gonna keep reading...

Well tcash i will tell you this...... I respect a lot of peoples opinion in this game, but MY opinion is the only one that matters. I use this 100% of the time, its my $$ being wagered, not theirs! You like Astrology,so keep an eye on him,the person posting the comment might be fos and not a clue about the horse. Are you ready to throw out a horse YOU like because someone else didnt like him? Think you get my point, and best of luck to you. Dont be a stranger to the thread.

Pegasus Training Centre Is an equine rehabilitation, and training centre located practically in my backyard. Run by Dr. Mark Dedomenico, it specializes in exploring advanced treatment options to improve equine rehabilitation. Dedomenico owns Pro Sports Club, and is/was a successful heart doctor. He has been a horse racing fan the majority of his life, and is half owner of Blind Luck. Here is a link to an article that was featured in the Seattle Times Here

The reason I bring this up is that on February 15th Pegasus is selling two year olds in training 22 horses will be offered. I hope to attend the sale, but at the very least will attend the February 14th festivities that include inspection, and a training review. Very excited.

Boys at Tosconova 18-1
Jaycito 40-1
Mucho Macho Man 50-1
Astrology 125-1
Sway Away 125-1

Be happy if just 2 of these horses made the derby for a fun sweat. The Hilton wasn't even taking bets on Head Honcho !!!!!

I just got a workout report this week on ol Gio also. He is probally my favorite active running horse right now. He is a very professional horse that gives his best each time out,and i respect the heck out of that...and obviously has a decent sense of humor by his big laugh.

Honch is jealous... jk.

I don't know anything about breeding, auctions, etc., but will the simple fact that zenyatta's the "motha" make anything she produces a huge sale at time of auction? like record breaking sale?

or are there other factors to look at?

bernardini has proven to be a good sire so far, and his stud fee of 75k is one of the higher ones in north america. probably top ten or so.

zenyatta is zenyatta

as long as the baby isn't severely crooked or something, it will bring a high price. i doubt it ( the price) would be a record breaker for several reasons, but who knows.

Bernardini was sired by A.P. Indy. A.P. Indy's damsire was Secretariat. Does this excite anyone else?

I know its kind of pathetic but I am hurtin right now. I really don't expect anyone to give a **** but even though I don't post much anymore, I still read everyday and I feel like I know you guys. I lost my mom today and it still hasn't really sunk in. I feel really fortunate because I am 45 yrs old and had my mom alot longer than some people. That doesn't make it any easier right now but I'm sure it will. To all you younger guys, love your mother with all your heart, no matter what happens because once she's gone there is a hole in your heart that can never be filled. Sorry for rambling and thanks for the chance to spew a little. Best of luck to all you guys. Derby is right around the corner and I hope your cashin , not trashin. peace
