I don't know why Mubtaahij is getting ignored so much. This horse probably has the best speed figures of any horse in the race.

International shippers have not been good in any of the 3 year-old classics.

But, he is bred for the distance. DeKock is training him in a way you would think would make him run all day.

No matter my feelings on whether AP can do this you have to bet against him in this race just because of all the easy money if he loses.

I like the grinders in this race. Keen Ice, MadefromLucky & even Mub. Frosted has been training great. Loves the track. I think those four may go into a nice exacta box for me.

If I honestly do not think AP will win, should I hedge my bet with both Materiality and Frost? Right now both horses are 7-1 so I'll really be getting 6-1 on my bet. I rarely bet horses and only bet "to win".

IMO he ran great in the Kentucky Derby. He swallowed half the stretch first time through, ran wide as hell and finished with great interest. "non-threatening" my a$$.

Had Tonalist WPS but Honor Code ran away with the race like a bullet in the Mile.

Materiality
AP
Frosted.
Boxing all 3 of course.

Trifecta those 3/ those 3/all hoping for AP in 2nd and a clunker in 3rd.

Assuming the odds on Keen Ice don't drop too much, I think he has a chance to get up there but not quite win.

I think Materiality at 7/6-1 is a steal going against a great, but possibly tired AP, and he's rested and it seems many people have forgotten his daddy won this race by 8.5 lengths.

I like Frosted as well as a possible winner, but right now at 9-2 there's not the value for me.

For those who play overlays, the two I see right now are Mubtaahij and Materiality. I have Mub true odds at 8 to 1. He's currently at 15 to 1. Mater I have at 4 to 1 and he's at 6 right now. AP isn't close to a good bet, albeit he's a big favorite to win.

Well, at least I won my trifecta exotics with Keen Ice in 3rd as well as the AP/Frosted/All.

Lost all the Materiality bets of course, the AP place hit is nice [I wonder what the discount was for 2nd, it was only10% in Preakness] and then had a Show bet on Frosted.

So, lost money.

Way up on the TC, so happy regardless and happy for American Pharoah.

Congrats Sluss nice hit!

Enjoyed today a lot and when your not guaranteed tomorrow's it makes day's like today extra sweet. Did not make any $$ today but what i took from today was just a tremendous exhibition of talent and in such a professional manner.

Watching AP bounce around the tracks as he has the last 5 weeks as a horse fan has been a real pleasure.
