Are people looking at team news for their bets?

No, I just look at degrees below celcius, statistics, and whether team coach is black or caucasian (white guys stand cold weather better).

Why, do you have anything relevant to share? or was it a rhethorical question?

Ok this does it. I was just looking at the grand salami u/o 20.5 for 9 games tonight. I hope montpellier, grenoble and auxerre combine for 2 (ideally, 3) goals. Tough thing to bank on, but these christmas games have been anything but orthodox recently. Always a 2-5 or 0-4 game looming - not for these three... I'll just take 1-1 in lyon/psg/marselille games

Bet over 20.5 goals @ 1.87

It's scary the amount of times the temperature has been used as the main reasoning on the over/under 2.5 betting in this thread.

Race-related temperature issues is a whole new low though lol

I think its not too bad to take in consideration but regarding form and recent results as the main factors...

Also placed three last minute singles on red cards in Nice, Nancy and Marseille games. Average price of 2.7

Well from all the posts here (or most of them anyway) it seems that all these 'picks' are based purely on form statistics without regard for team news - injuries, suspensions and the like which are massively influential to the odds.

(I'm assuming your post was sarcastic btw.)

Obviously race matters. Why else would Pittsburgh Steelers have a 43-13 record in December games under Mike Tomlin? Because his great grandfather was Charles Tomlin, a farmer from Lanarkshire, Scotland, where winters are exceptionally cold.

PREPARATION BABY

Not as cold as my area of Scotland!! There's 2-3 feet of snow in the hills surrounding my town, every main road is iced over, and it has been well below freezing, night after night, for the past week!

Ah well, nice white Christmas guaranteed at least

So far, I believe, it's Liverpool pl 7 pts 17, Man U pl 6 pts 12, Man C pl 6 pts 7

Liverpool still have to visit Burnley, Man U and Man C
Man U still have to go to Everton, Man C
Man C have 6 home games left and only 2 away. New manager/January transfers could mean they have some great home results and stop drawing.

Sick position mate.

26/12 games:

nothing ground-breaking here, but some nice prices i think.

birmingham vs chelsea @1.57
considering their draw vs west ham, it's the last game before they lose drogba/kalou etc. AND the great price for a chelsea 1X2 line... it's well worth the shot.

double on:
@2.02
Man city vs stoke (unbeaten at home + new manager to impress)
hull vs man utd (loss vs fulham + need to push chelsea)

then just for kicks ive put on some wacky accumulators for 0.5units each.

#1
@15.43
fulham vs tottenham
west ham vs portsmouth
everton vs burnley

#2
@58.33
birmingham vs chelsea
burnley vs bolton DRAW
man city vs stoke
sunderland vs everton
hull vs man utd
wigan vs blackburn over2.5goals

This price is an obvious fade and not worth anywhere near "a shot" as you say. Statistically there is zero value here. Double chance Brum/Draw pays 2.37 so that is surely a lot better value. Yes consider the fact they drew with West Ham, but as a bad omen towards this game! Brum are unbeaten in 9, winning 6 of those. In the last 4 matches between these 2 at Birmingham, there has been just 2 goals. 2 x 0-0 draws and 2 x 1-0 Chelsea wins.

Basically Brum are playing really well just now so I hope you haven't put any decent sum of money on this one aao.

2 of my picks I really like the look of today are:-

Wigan vs Blackburn @ 2.35
Sheff Wed vs Newcastle @ 1.75

Wigan got over their 9-1 thrashing at Spurs pretty quickly by playing some decent football in the past few weeks, and can score goals. Blackburn were very poor in their last 2 games, both ending in losses away at Birmingham and at home to Spurs. Wigan also look really good going forward with Rodallega, N'Zogbia and Gomez. Take the very good home price on Wigan.

The Newcastle pick mainly just jumps straight back on the saddle from last week's solid home display against Middlesbrough. They are now away at Sheffield Wednesday who sit 3rd from bottom of The Championship and have lost 5 on the bounce. Newcastle class and new found belief around the club should march on here quite comfortably. Take Newcastle

just aswell you missed it lol. 2-2 FT after a ridiculous refereeing decision allowed Sheff Wed's 2nd goal to stand after the striker clearly fouled the Newcastle keeper in the air. Newcastle should have put the game to bed well before this however.

28/12 games:

everton vs burnley everton to score over1.5 goals @1.73 on boylesports.

pretty self explanatory i think - everton need the win, will see this as the match to get it and burnley are shambolic away from home.

This is a definitely a good spot.

FYI Birmingham had a perfectly good goal disallowed for offside . But yes Joe Hart was immense in goal the whole game
