ok gang. not sure where to post this.....or even why I am LOL.....just interested in the maths and best system I guess....so anyway, i'm running a Euro 2012 predictor comp with 25 players entered.

It's a max of 6pts for a totally correct prediction during the group matches, with lower points available for partially correct results.

NO points for match score during knockout stages - just points based on number of teams selected who actually qualify for each knockout round.

Up to now the average is 26pts, with an average PPG of 2.2.
Top place on 33pts, bottom on 15pts.

That's after 12 out of 24 matches (50%).

My question is.....I'd like to keep the league quite tight for interest, whilst also obviously rewarding the better predictors.....but I'm not sure how best to score the knockout rounds to achieve this.

I'm currently thinking....

Correct group winner 5pts
Correct runner up 3pts

Correct semi finalist 7pts

Correct finalist 10pts

Correct winner 15pts


Anyone got any thoughts / ideas???
