Aren't the limits pretty small right now? Move likely means nil.

One function of smaller opening betting limits is for the casinos to see which sides the winning bettors and sports book accounts are taking at a cheap price and make adjustments accordingly.

I should have taken Denver opener, anticipating the line move, but definitely wouldn't mind it if the line can somehow jump over that huge hump from -2.5 to -3. But considering the $.25 value of this particular half point jump 2.5 to 3, it will require much more one sided action than a typical .5 point line move and likely never get there.

And this is relevant because both games were equally close?

For someone quoting Sagarin you ought to know it's not just total yards where they grade out well. Their efficiency #'s are good vs the run too.

Hours after match up was decided Pinnacle was $50K max bet. While Bookmaker is $50K now too I can't remember what it was then. The Moneyline was all that was relevant to me, and was $10K, I sort of remember it being $25K on point spread but may have been $40K or the $50K it is now. In any case limits were never small. All this trading and movement is at large limits.

I think they should be a favorite. im praying for bad weather and wind.

the hawks should be able to pressure Manning. like Mathis in the Colts game. only dif is hawks have like 4 Mathis's, better secondary and faster LB's.

I'm interested to see if Percy Harvin will be playing. He can be used to score for Seattle or be used as a decoy to get the other receivers open.

I'm unsure if you guys remember what happens when a really good offense plays against a really good defense.

Remember the Pats/Giants?

This is piss-poor reasoning, and I'll take Peyton over a great defense any day. However, I don't believe Denver is 2.5 points better than Seattle, and I think this should be PK or maybe Denver -1. The line strikes me as people saying, "Denver is the better team, and games never end under a FG, so I'll take Denver -2.5!"

I wouldn't be so quick to jump on the Denver train until we know if it's going to be windy or the chance of precipitation.

Grabbed Denver even last night. If this line jumps up to 3 or 3.5 I'm gonna freeroll it for a stress-free superbowl.

Explain that? Why is it piss-poor reasoning? Has Denver even played against a decent, much less "good" defense all year? Look at their schedule. Balt, NYG, Oakland, Eagles, Dallas, Jax, Colts (and they lost), wash, SD, KC, NE (loss), KC, Tenn, SD (loss lol), Houston, Oakland.

They literally didn't play against a decent defense all year. They beat SD in the playoffs and just rolled NE (and they aren't all that good). (KC was pretty good this year actually)

Seattle played a harder schedule and has the same record at 13-3.

Defense wins championships. Good defenses make good offenses look bad. Seattle started the game down 10 points to a very good SF team and still won by a TD. Seattle should be favored in this game, that's simply the truth. If Kapernick didn't have a few decent runs and the Seahawks didn't fumble early the niners game would have been ugly.

I'll give it to Manning and his offense, they are really good, but if you think they are going to go out and score all over Seattle, well... lol.

I'm taking Seattle and it's not even close.
