Bet365 trying to delay withdrawal Bet365 trying to delay withdrawal

Okay, surprising positive development. I found a month-old mail I got from my bank which had a bank statement and I sent it and Bet365 approved it. Now they plan to review my withdrawal "as soon as possible". After it's accepted, it will take 1-5 working days for the funds to get into my account. So only part I'm worried about now is whether they will approve the withdrawal and how long is the approving gonna take.

The reason I'm worried about it is that they've pulled every trick so far to delay this thing. Not cos Inzaghi (aptly named cos Filippo Inzaghi was a striker often described as annoying) is bringing up some fraud thing that is so obscure and literally the only party that is suggesting something like that.

If I had lost my bet, I would've taken it like a man.

But I know Inzaghi is just protecting the integrity of the system, great work.

Okay so apparently that support worker lied to me (or more likely was just ignorant and didn't do his job properly) and now they sent me a message that it has to be a colour copy or it has to be stamped by my local branch. Then I talked to support again and they said it has to be stamped or it has to have a letterhead. So I talked to the bank and they agreed to send a "special" bank statement that has either a letterhead or stamp that signifies that it came from them. This **** is so unbelievable tbh. They just come up with this **** as they go along.

They keep making up these conditions. Just for this bank statement they have made up like six conditions, for ex. it can't be PDF etc. And they do it bit by bit, meaning every time I send a statement, they make up a new condition.

How much money are we talking about? if its a good amount Id consider maybe talking to a lawyer and getting him to at least send them something threatening. Theyre definitely ****ing with you.

Yeah I know. It is a 5-figure amount, but the thing with the lawyer is that I'd rather avoid expenses, so I don't want to pay for a lawyer to send them something and then they send the money to my account. Optimally I'd just straight up sue them if I get a lawyer involved.

Now I asked them do they need anything else after the bank statement, and support worker said "my account should be fine after this". So that's more circumstantial evidence that they're liars if they do ask me anything else after the bank statement. So I'll have all this to use in case of a lawsuit.

Put a withdrawal request through for a 4 figure amount which is my first withdrawal request. Will report back with whether it's easy or I have to jump through hoops (I sent verification prior to placing any bets), I assume it's a small enough sum I shouldnt have problems but who knows

This is a mess of a thread.

1/ Is this your first and only account with them?

2/ Are you capable of following simple instructions?

theres always some dickhead who posts in support of the book in these threads.

If everything OP said is correct, bet365 is very clearly ****ing with him making it as hard as possible to withdraw, obviously hoping he gives up and gambles it away. Its scummy and hes right to be pissed. Calling what theyre asking him to do "simple instructions" is so moronic I would think youre a 365 shill if you didnt have a bunch of posts.

You know, these cases that come up are always regarding a customer who wins a bunch of money, and then the bookie comes demanding 10 different security checks.

What would happen if a customer were to lose a ton of money (say over €100,000), and then fail security checks? Is there any precedent here? Are there any regulations that would stipulate that if one were to input the incorrect information, that the bookie may have to return funds if they appear to be illicitly obtained?

Bet365 told me I entered the wrong bsb pretty sure I didn't but I spoke w their live support and they got the withdraw processed and it hit today which was 3 days later. Withdraw was for 4 figs and I left about 1k in the acct so no issues for me yet.

I feel pretty fortunate it went that well given what ops going thru

What is bsb?

Bank state branch? I think the same thing happened to me too. Definitely not my mistake, nor yours for that matter. Some form got magically filled like **** on my account that has my bank as my street address etc.

The past seven days I've been dealing with my bank trying to send me a stamped bank statement, which I finally received today. I sent it to Bet365. I asked support and confirmed they had received it, and then the support worker said "we can't put a timeframe on when we'll review it".

In my message I again threatened to sue them, which I don't know if it was a mistake or not. Also I explained to them that they've repeatedly lied to me and I have some other stuff too that I can use in a future court case. That's why the support worker didn't say much to me. He also said that I should either wait for their reply or I should contact them. Which means I need to contact them.

So I guess I'll contact the support daily from now on. I have no idea about when they'll cave in, or will they delay this thing like 7 days or more. Longest time they've spent on review has been 72 hours (which really was 96 hours), but I have a feeling they'll try to delay longer this time.

Sorry I have a clunky way of saying things so this might seem a bit hard to read.

Yeah it's the code for your bank in Australia eg Westpac, Commonwealth or whatever it's typically a six digit number. I'm sure I entered it right, but after I talked to live support they fixed it and gave me my 4 fig cashout with no further issues

I mean if you think it will help a few of us can start calling them out on social media, it worked when sportsbook.ag was trying to angleshoot my friend out of about 5-10k a few years ago because he'd lived in Australia several years before moving to Thailand, i'm happy to bombard their twitter with 'hey my friend's getting the runaround when he's trying to cash out whats the deal' type messages

where are you based OP. I might be able to find you a cheaper solution than lawyers. Here in aus we have regulators who put stupid ****ty actions like this from bookmakers into line.

Anything helps, but I'm not sure that would do much good cos Bet365 is so huge and they'd prolly not even know which case you'd be referring to. Besides, I just got a positive development to my case, which I will explain in my next post ITT.

And yeah to the post above this one, I will definitely have to look into regulators and regulation. I'm not sure if the situation is as good in my country as in Australia.

So a support worker claimed that he told the team in charge of reviewing my bank statement that it was fine and also my withdrawal is fine. So he said that on Monday the withdrawal will go through and I will get money on my account soon after.

But I'm still a bit suspicious of that cos once before I was told everything was fine and then in fact it wasn't fine. Also suspicious cos I still have the option to cancel the withdrawal. I will definitely contact the support tomorrow to double-check the validity of this and also on Monday if I still have the option to cancel the withdrawal (cos it wouldn't make much sense that the money would be moving but I still would be able to cancel it).
