On low turnover (taking months off at a time), it's possible to double your bankroll. 35k is not just horrible, it's atrocious.

Re: Bankroll Requirements

i went and analyzed one major sport for the year at random and looked at derivatives and used a $3000 starting bankroll w/0.5 kelly and only if the edge was >= 1 % and set it so at the end of the day the new bankroll was how much you had. i also set the max bet to be whatever the limit was for the bet at bookmaker (usually 1k sometimes 500). i ran these independent of one another (so if you're betting multiple then the stakes would be lower for each and you might run into cash problems), but i did set it up to calculate the multiple kelly stake for all games starting at 7-8 together and 9-10 together (Since presumably they will be decided by then, but i didn't reset the bankroll to current level between them):

1Q:
258-197-33(26973.385619271)
Amount Won: 23973.385619271

2Q:

99-85-10(12625.159418644)
Amount Won: 9625.1594186444

3Q (based on FG line):
122-97-16(12560.8334149)
Amount Won: 9560.8334148997

3Q (based on 2H line)
120-92-15(12646.811799962)
Amount Won: 9646.8117999619

4Q (based on 2H Line):

154-127-23(16040.832887745)
Amount Won: 13040.832887745

1H:
607-580-27(33797.815345091)
Amount Won: 30797.815345091

so how can you not make money when its so free and you can start with so little at 3k? the 1H line is a little out of wack because it went on like 33-4 run at the end with some big bets but it was still pretty high before that

Re: Bankroll Requirements

even looking at NFL

1Q (shows importance of bet sizing IMO):
75-80-18(8486.1595346156)
Amount Won: 5486.1595346156

2Q:
55-39-4(5183.5371944375)
Amount Won: 2183.5371944375

3Q (using FG line):
53-63-7(1833.6705145682)
Amount Won: -1166.3294854318

3Q (using 2H Line):
71-67-9(3462.58698565533)
Amount Won: 462.58698565533

4Q (using FG Line):
52-74-11(1282.4480202005)
Amount Won: -1717.5519797995

4Q (using 2H Line):
61-68-6(3542.9321732889)
Amount Won: 542.93217328889

1H:
102-100-3(4457.4192802603)
Amount Won: 1457.41928026026

tons of money out there if play it smart. add in the fact that you can also do it for cfl/wnba (be aware of sample size issues with those 2)/nhl/nfl/ncaaf/nba/mlb

you can easily run 3k into tons of money in a year with very little upfront work. also this doesn't include line shopping (it only uses derivatives against BM) which will make you more money. and this assumes you are only betting on NFL but if you're doing more then you should have bigger bankroll on sunday => more money, etc.

Re: Bankroll Requirements

How does the bankroll management apply for multiple sites? Let's say I have four sites and a total $1K roll. 1 bet = 1% = $10.

Is it ok to divide the whole roll for $250 each site and still keep the bet size $10?

Yes. It doesn't matter where the game is being bet, provided the amount you bet is a % of your total amount.

FYI - it's pretty standard for books to say they cannot access the entire history. They almost always have it, though. You just have to come up with unique and interesting ways to ask.
