Allowing someone to bet using my account

Could someone please outline the risks involved with allowing someone to make bets using another sports betting account.
As the owner of the account how illegal is this?
Sorry if this has been answered many times before i am very new to sports betting.

over the years i've read of several people getting caught for various prohibited behaviour at books, but the only time i ever heard of anyone getting prosecuted was some guy from romania or some equally busto eastern euro country who had used hundreds of fake ID's to bonus whore one of the more legit books (presumably most of them would have more to lose than you would by involving authorities in their business).
most likely they'd just confiscate any winnings. if you're really unlucky maybe the confiscate the whole balance.

Very situation dependent. If youre even asking about it then Id say no. It can be done but only in unique spots.

I don't know about any of that, but if you're giving it to someone besides me then you are not getting max value.
