2p2 best bet thread: week of 8/5/12

please see the new update in regards to how many picks a day you can make. if you have any other suggestions, please respond in this thread.

welcome to the two plus two sports betting best bet thread!

rules are fairly simple:

--you may pick 10 games a week. it can be 1/day or it can be 10 in one day. please try to keep within the 10/picks a week limit. they can be from any of the major sports. no parlays, teasers or props.

--each pick MUST include the following: side, line, juice and book. if you do not include each, pick will be void.

--moneyline picks are limited to -500 on favorites and +1000 on underdogs. if you want to pick above either, you need permission first.

--each pick is for 1 unit only. if you are betting a favorite at -110, your bet is 1.1u to win 1u. if you are betting an underdog at +120, your bet is 1u to win 1.2u.

--each time you pick (after the first obv), I would appreciate if post your screenname, record and units won/lost, something like this:

finally, do not ever edit your post. i think this is obvious, but if you edit your post, i reserve the right to ding your record whatever is deemed appropriate.

please make sure if you made a pick last week that i got your total right (devils see the end of the last thread) as i'm pretty sure i used the right days with the right results, but you'd know your record more than i would...

good win though, been a long while since i've won $220 on one game...thinking back, i'm pretty sure it was anderson silva a year and a half or so ago at like -400 (don't remember, i'm gonna look though, i def laid $800ish to win $200ish...i was ****ing terrified)

go devils! a step out of your $10/game comfort zone for sure hahahaha! my units are still around $60ish (i'm a slave to 2-3% and religiously cashout whenever i get enough to buy a new gun or a .25 gold eagle) and whenever i get at 3 digits i cringe. good for you...

that was just about the point where i stopped writing every bet into a notebook and started trying to use excel.

though again i'd have to find (one of the 10+ notebooks) what the line was exactly.

such a small timer. though i guess i don't give a ****. i don't have an edge, and while my wifey knows the gambling bankroll is separate from the 'go out and buy stupid ****' bankroll, she still after 8 years+ wouldn't understand if i told her i bet $1,000 daily...lol

i tried to explain rickj (if i can get better than his line i go 5% on everything he posts at 1u) to her dad on the way down to the beach a week ago, he told me, 'wiper, you don't ever miss the mortgage betting on sports games, right?'.

so yeah.

edit to add: my answer was: "vince, you've seen my collections of ****, and you know i'm a teacher...you DO realize people can win at poker right?"

for the record, i got him to bet me dinner that i'd out-fish him at the pier the night i got him to roll (literally roll, i had to pay for a wheelchair to get him to go)...he caught two mini-****ing BULL**** fish, i only caught a blue crab (that i reeled onto the pier, unhooked, laughed at then super-scrambled off the edge fuuuu).
