I think you missed the point of this thread, which is what I am refering too. Taking the under is fine, but to take it simply because a team is favorite by x amount is not a good enough reason to take the under because the empty net goal can negate alot of the line. If you're taking the under in a game because defensive reasons, this makes much more sense.
