Not sure what Hungrier is talking about...didn't subscribe to anywhere. Picks are mine and all made before games start. What I meant was I've picked six straight games against the spread.

That said, streak came to a crashing halt last night as I went 0-fer and lost 4.5u. Providence, Hawaii, Old Dominion, Houston...all of them failed to cover. Ick.

For tonight:

Cleveland State +1.5 (Risk 3.5u to win 3.2 u - going kinda crazy on this one as I feel really strong about it. Cleveland State is one of the best teams against the spread in all games this year and has been rolling lately. 14-5-1 overall ATS and 7 of last 9. Many other reasons but this was one I couldn't wait to lay on. Line moved shortly after being released to public as I expected)

Iona -2 (Risk 1.1u to win 1u)

Shoot...sorry I didn't see this in time for the game. I liked them up to around -4. They have been shooting well and playing very efficiently. Plus Detroit didn't match up well with them at all defensively.

Cleveland State covered winning by 8 but watching the game on ESPNU, it was never really that close. Detroit didn't cut the margin to single digits until very late in the game when it was long over and Cleveland State led by as many as 19.

Anybody like Evansville +19.5 vs Wichita State? There is some history between these two teams(Evansville last team to beat state at home) and I think there is potential for this to be a close game. Maybe that's extra motivation for Wichita State to roll but 19.5 is a big number.

Laid off Air Force and glad I did as Nevada covered. Also glad I passed on Wake Forest as Georgia Tech beat them handily.

Overall ended up roughly even from yesterday's NCAA action

For today, going pretty heavy on Virginia +4. They have been a covering machine lately and are 9-1 ATS in their last 10 games that have had a spread including seven in a row. They are also undefeated ATS against the ACC this year and 4-2 ATS on the road; covering four in a row.

Pitt has been covering at a decent rate at home but Virginia is playing excellent lately and their defense has been really stingy. I wouldn't try to make a ML pick in this one but I can't go against UVA until they give me a reason to. UVA, Cleveland State and Iona have become my favorite teams to lay on ATS as of late.

Catching up here as I've been betting but on a limited basis since I've been sick as hell since SB Sunday (FFFFUUUU flu season).

Sunday: Won the above play on UVA and it was never in doubt. Pitt s biggest lead was 4 and UVA either led or had it u2 for the entire second half.

Monday: Passed on everything, wasn't able to study due to feeling so lousy.

Last night: Only made one play because it was my aforementioned darling Iona -6.5. They trailed early but after halftime left no doubt and won by 18.

Tonight: My other darling ATS Virginia has an inferior opponent in Boston Coll. However I am passing on this game as it's UVA -13.5. BC has covered their last three road spreads and despite an awful record, has been covering at a decent rate. UVA is on fire and will win for sure but this has the feeling of an 8-10 point game as UVAs style doesn't really lend itself to blowouts.

If anyone had to lay here, I'd say UVA because it's hard to pick against a team that's 9-0 ATS lately but BC is playing tougher than people realize. I see this one as a strict pass.

Anyone here got Syracuse going deep in this tourney? Between them and SDSU I think I may lay a good amount of spreads early. Always gotta be on the watch for upsets, however.

Also LOL at Warren Buffet offering a Billion dollars to whoever can call the entire tournament exactly.

going to ship big on St louis at -3.5...these two teams are so lopsided in talent I'm surprised the spread is that low. maybe a backdoor cover by Salle but I can't put my money on them in this spot.

5dimes has SEMO/Eastern IL total at 153.5. IMHO, that's too low. I see a 80-78 game, at least. Both teams have terrible D, and SEMO loves to run the floor. I guess, on 2nd thought, if Eastern wants to take the air out of the ball, it could go under, but they won their last match-up, so I'm guessing they won't shrink away from playing up tempo today.
