This proves how much of a degen I am, that I can't figure out why -105 at +1 is the same as +100 ML - which is what haralabob posted on twitter last night regarding the hou/dal game.

at -105, i see breakeven odds at 51.21%
at +100, 50%

what am i missing here? this might be really obvious to others so pls explain to the less bright

around two percent of the time, the favored team wins by one point? are you asking why anyone would ever buy the point? if the team you bet on was +1 and they lost by one, you would push instead of lose; certainly that is worth something. is it worth five cents of juice? i don't know.

no, i'm specifically asking why those two are equal

and he answered you.

the value of point makes the two bets more or less equal

He is saying laying 105 to win 100 but your team can lose by one point and you push is the same as laying 100 to win 100 but your team must win the game are roughly equivalent bets because about 2 percent of the time the favorite wins by 1 and you will push instead of lose for the first bet.

On my Wagerstreet account I always buy up from -1 -110 to +1 -150.

I remember when one site used to allow me to sell from -2 to +2 in NBA games and gave me the same price as selling from -6 to -2. Miss them so much.
