Zoom 100: Thugpoker.org

Over a small sample I suspect villain is a maniac. He is running 50/38 with 50% Aggression Frequency over 24 hands (I realize that's a small sample but I wanted to soulread here and 50/38 is pretty lol).

Default is obviously to fold this turn but I think this guy (if I soulread him correctly) has a way weaker range than usual for leading the turn. I suspect he just wants to take the pot down without a fuss, so I create a fuss.

I think his range gets even weaker when he calls the turn. The curious results of this hand make it hard to tell if I made a bad play or not.

You should edit out the results imo, because it makes it harder for us to tell also.
I think even a recreational player is gonna know this card hits your UT range quite hard, though im biased now. It's rly hard to know what a rec player is thinking though, i prefer to wait for some more info before launching big unbalanced bluffs like this.

done. I have no idea if it's a reg or not. I'm guessing he's a fish because he's playing psycho. But not like a passive flush chasing fish. More like a fish that wants to win every pot. So maybe one of those thuggy blowfish fish that shoot poisonous darts.

Like you said it's 24hands. Even a nit will have those stats every once in a while.
I'm not sure why you would think that his range gets weaker when he calls the turn? I think you leveled yourself hard here.

Re: Zoom 100: Thugpoker.org

I thought playing 12 hands VPIP wise and raising 9 of them in 24 normalizes itself pretty quickly to being very active, but you guys are much more knowledgeable about that than me.

I shouldn't say his range gets weaker. I thought his turn lead was generally pretty weak though and once he calls the turn raise, it's hard for him to call the river a lot. I can see JT and slowplayed flushes calling but it seemed like a small part of his range compared to what I could fold out.

Probably a pretty speculative spot :P

i don't get it, what are you trying to get him to fold? it's really hard for him to have less than Ax ott and i wouldn't attempt to get an unknown (possible fish) to fold tp.

Obv it's complete spew. Had you had the Js it wouldn't have been so bad, but even that may be optimitic.

On the river, it's a fair bet he'll hate the shove but an even more certain bet that he'll call anyway.
