Hi guys, this is from a 1/3 live game.
At the time I thought I had played it right, however I am second guessing my decision!
My stack is about $150, small blinds stack around $250-$300
AJo in the cutoff
Raise to $12, 6 callers including small and big blinds.
Pot $72
Flop: 9-9-Jr
Checked around to me, I make it $35, small blind calls, everyone else folds.
Pot $142
Turn blanks (2)
Small blind leads out for $40, which confuses me as I was the preflop and post flop aggressor. I call
Pot $222
River blanks (6)
Small blind leads again and puts me all in for my remaining $70ish dollars.
I call.
He shows 9-10o

So, I guess first thing is preflop. I guess there are two limpers ahead of you?
Usually I go for (numeber of limpers + 3) * BB so that'd be $15 pre flop. Might even make it more if I know people tend to call. Otherwise people are getting some pretty good odds to call with all sorts of things.
Now when the flop comes and there are 6 callers I think the chances of my one pair being good are very slim. Honestly I more or less just give up. J33 with two suited card might be a little different, but the chances of somebody having a 9 here are actually pretty good. I'd probably bet 1/3 of the pot and hope everybody folds. If somebody calls then I try to get to cheap showdown.
At the turn when somebody donks into me I'll usually fold unless I know they'll play draws agressively like this (6 handed!) which is actually pretty rare. Usually somebody that plays draws agressively is gonna try something on the flop. I'd expect this donk to be a 9 most of the time in this situation.

The guy isn't going to be getting it in with a weak J most of the time so it's either weak trips or a boat after limping with JJ...
Live donks also know that weak kickers are trash and his turn bet seems perfect size to get your remaining $70 on the river.
In the future, it's ok to bet much bigger pre , $18+ would have been perfectly fine to pick up the limpers. As played, check flop or bet flop much smaller as nobody holding 66 is calling and anyone holding J4s isn't going to reshove, etc. Any callers means a 9 or a J and you can definitely reevaluate from there.
But I would probably check flop in a 6 way pot with a 99J board. You never know what they have in live...I raised to $30 pre in 2/5 , got 2 callers, board came 22K, I had AA, got all my money in by the river and villain had 23s. What are you gonna do....sigh
