stab at turn when checked to?

CO 23/14/cbet 88/turn cb 50/bet river 40 - 316 hands - VILLAIN IS NOT A PRO SHORTY

BB 49/19 - 60 hands

I'm not sure how much fold equity we have on turn after villain cbet quite big into 2 players(one being a fish) on this flop.

Also if we bet and get jammed on we dont have the equity to call.

The only thing making me want to stab is villains high cbet %

What are you doing here?

UTG: $103.05
MP: $100.00
CO: $58.10
Hero (BTN): $110.36
SB: $100.00
BB: $98.16

Pre Flop: ($1.50) Hero is BTN with 8 7
2 folds, CO raises to $3, Hero calls $3, 1 fold, BB calls $2

Flop: ($9.50) K 4 T (3 players)
BB checks, CO bets $7.12, Hero calls $7.12, BB folds

Turn: ($23.74) 2 (2 players)
CO checks, Hero?,

i just take the free card, i dont see the fish folding even Tx on the turn, vs a reg im closer to 2 barrel big here.

Re: stab at turn when checked to?

mhm checking here might suggest we are good if we hit a 8/7 .. CO opening range is kinda important here to get an idea what his range might look like

against a reg this should be a bet .. idk if hes like most of the shortstack fishes and x/calls Kx,Strong Tx here 2 times

Re: stab at turn when checked to?

I think preflop is probably -EV against an opener with <60bbs. A weak player in the BB helps. It's probably fairly close.

I would stab turn, ~$13 or something. With a better draw but one that isn't good enough to bet/call turn, like maybe A6hh, J9hh etc., then checking might be best to realize your equity without risking villain check/shoving (I'm not 100% sure if bet/calling J9hh on the turn is good or bad but I think you get my point). With 87hh your hand is just not that good. You've got like ~20% equity against Kx or Tx and only 30% vs Ax so you should just stab because it's not a big deal if villain shoves (ez fold) and because he cbets flop 88% so he's naturally check-folding turn pretty often.

Re: stab at turn when checked to?

id prolly just bet fold turn, dont think we make much on river when we do check back and bink and a lot of what Keyser said I agree with as well.
