Ya no one good is going to respond to strat threads these days, or give any hint of a good site or learning method etc. Plus so many of the people who populated the stars threads, life threads etc etc were american's, who have moved out of poker. The pro's these days have English as a second language, and are on their own forums shooting the **** without a language barrier. The amount of trolls in like NVG is completely through the roof too, a while ago it sort of hit a critical mass where if you say something pro-poker pro you get pilled on by a bunch of jealous/unhappy/don't even know their motivation posters, and don't bother posting again. OOT/video game/etc etc forums etc are still some of the best on the internet, you have a lot of intelligent people who have moved on from poker but not those subjects who still populate it. The threads on poker that are american centric are still good actually. The amount of people who are enthusiastic about poker in them manages to drown out all the trolls.
Edit: For someone like myself, who is still a pro and still does a lot of theory work, the poker industry is really depressing. Never ending bad new with which you have no control over. I think the healthiest thing, at least in my sake, for happiness is to play and work on theory stuff, and work on something else to be passionate about, something for when poker is done in a few years. Devoting time to see which scumbag scammed someone, what poker site has decided to raise the rake etc etc is not pleasant.
