My summer holidays are mid november - march, so im just going inbetween uni years

I'm in for at least a visit, possibly splitting time with vancouver, possibly all three months.

The only ****ing thing that bothers me is grad school interviews. Hopefully poker goes good the next few months and I won't be concerned with grad school, hehe.

i am interested, although that is my last semester, so i think pushing it back//chopping with vancouver, or just visiting for 1 month is good for me...if pushed till may i can stay indefinitely.

The fall/winter is also high season. It's sunny every day and there's generally more to do.

I think Schreech is right to offer the word of warning over the relative cheapness though.
I don't think $1000/month is going to cut it. That's about $35/day and whilst it would probably cover essentials, it won't go much further.

My girlfriend and I (she's also a grinder) have our tickets booked and are headed to Thailand this August. If anybody's interested in heading out earlier or meeting up let me know. We have no plans so far, but rooming up with another SSNLer would be great.

It really sounds like $500/mo covers all essentials, and I can see spending more. I would probably spend an absurd amount of money there buying all sorts of **** because its cheaper.

Anyways, there is so much interest in this Im not sure what to do. There are a few people who wanted to leave in August, perhaps talk with Dirge? The two people who wanted to swap out a month or so, When would both of you want to stay? That could work and would not be a problem with me, I will ask the others.
