Should I get away from this? Should I get away from this?

Ok playing in 1/2 live, I'm small blind. I have QQ and raise it to 15 preflop. Then big blind who is clearly drunk/obnoxiously pops it to 60. Action folded to me and I call. He then shoves in dark before the flop. Flop was Kk6. I called he had pocket AA. Should I have known he was good? Thanks

Forgot to mention, sitting with about 350 he had me covered

This is a pretty silly broad question with no reads or information. But ill help you out anyways.

I'm assuming you 3 bet and he 4 bet. If some random guy 4 betting range is QQ+ AK+, you're behind on this flop

He was 3bet by a drunk guy. I'd probably just gii preflop vs drunk guy.

dunno if you play live much or not...but people usually don't go nuts preflop at lower and mid stakes. (even drunk).

That is true.

I play live a fair amount. I should've mentioned earlier, I had raised a few pots before this hand as well. But with the preflop shove in the dark is there ever any chance he's trying to bluff me and look strong with about 130 in the pot, and 200 behind me? Or does he always have me beat?

With these opening/raise sizes all around, you're very much pot committed. Just chalk it up to a cooler.

what? why are you pot committed when you get more information? i.e. the board and the shove? hah

his 3 bet alone is scary enough. best case in your life he has AK doing this and that just binked. just fold and make a good hand vs him.

(p.s. obv if it's a sloppy drunk constantly shoving, that'll be pretty obv then you're fine. but if this is a one time thing, it's AA).

If you open to 15 pre and call a raise to 60 when you're 350 eff, it's hard not to essentially be committed on a ton of flops.
