Can I just say i'm not looking for a deal but would really like an answer to this. With the essence system in effect now and so many deposit bonus's available, would grinding a few of them at $50NL be better until the merge or should I stick to a RB program I already have?

depends on the volume you are playing (total amount of rake you have per month)

Why would the volume matter if I can constantly be clearing a deposit bonus and move to the next? It's pretty much having to do with clearing rates under the ongame VIP deal vs std RB in the essence system. What I want to know is if I am constantly clearing a first deposit bonus and move on as soon as it's done, kind of like the old days of bonus whoring, what is a better deal for a month or two until we find out about the merge situation with bwin and party.

tl:dr, What's better for short term earn, RB or consecutive first deposit bonus's

you get points after essense .. so it depends.. how good youa are .. e.g. how much they cut away from your total rakemount

but in generell an 8x bonus + VIP + extra random % is in generell better than the regular stuff

do the math on your own.. it isnt that hard

Yeah but you get more(?) points/rake when you play on a new account, because it takes some time for essence to kick in. Depending on how long it takes for Essence to adjust it, bonuswhoring could be an OK idea to avoid the Essence effect.

I raked ~$750 according to HEM in the first week I was playing on my new account and I got bonuses from +-$10 of that rake amount. (and I was winning over those hands, which led me to believe that Essence is quite slow to adjust)

See now that's why I asked and didn't just do math. I never would have thought about essence kicking in later rather than what it is under my present deal. If I run bad or BE under a new deal essence is a non factor as much as if I run well since there will be no history. If some Bonus/VIP deal is not as good as RB before essence kicks into gear then getting a deal until such time as it's reduced from winrate is probably a good option.

Yeah but the deals have gotten significantly better since the Essence... Before Essence 55% RB-equivalent deals were somewhat hard to find, nowadays almost every affiliate can offer you more.

I believe, they are already working on getting this problem fixed with "new accounts".

Also, Ongame is more aggressive trying to lock down these "under the table" deals, so I would be cautious using them.

Essence is a tool made to increase the flow of fish and lower the amount of illegal deals, but it doesnt mean they stopped searching for affiliates/skins that offer them.

Although I havent yet heard of any one getting their bankroll taken, because of it, but according to T&C, they do have the power to do so.

I'm still unable to open new tables after I have HEM and hud running. I start up my tables, start HEM and then hud. After a table breaks or just gets bad, I can close the table, but any new tables won't open and freeze with the logo and don't even show up in program manager.

I've tried adding 2 gig more ram to no avail. I have tried shutting down HEM and hud before opening new tables (newest versions) and still nothing. The tables I play on never freeze, I just can't open new ones.

Any thoughts on another reason? Running XP with both 2 then 4 gig, 1.86 core 2 duo. I have plenty of HDD space and have defragged more than once. It's the same on Betfair and Tower

Reinstall the Ongame skin software. That helped for me.
If that doesnt work reinstall HEM too.

Just about to start getting back into the grind at 50/1 & 1/2 (Betfair). No doubt I'll be donanting to you all soon enough but got a few quick questions.

1) Are people on betfair havine any tech issues/crashing etc?
2) Is everyone able to use thier HUD ok? I can't seem to get my HUD to work?
3) Any interesting chat on the current good reg's, spew monkeys etc? This is what we should be using this thread for!
