Anyone an expert on cashing out conversions on 888?

On Stars I just change my $ to GBP before I cashout as the conversion rates on site are good. If I cashed out in $ I would lose a lot more at the bank when they convert to GBP.

However on 888 people are saying conversion rates on site are really bad. Does anyone know if it is better to cashout in GBP or $?

Cash out in USD, let your bank handle conversions. Make sure your settlement currency is USD - check the small text under the withdrawal amount. If it says "your account will be credited xxx GBP" you need to contact them to get it changed to USD. Do it over the phone, they ignore emails about this most of the time.

Check every time you do a transaction, they'll silently change your settlement currency back to GBP occasionally.

Hey stars regs.

Are fish more likely to join when there's >4/6 players?
Are there some fish who don't "care" if 2 regs are playing HU to start a game?
I mean do you find that when there's >4/6 players, table fills up quicker by a rec?

There are pretty much never 4-5 regs on a 6m table unless the table is breaking, in which case it lasts for an orbit or so. I start tables throughout my session and they always fill (through a fish joining and the table filling with scripting regs around the fish), to the point where I never waitlist and don't have a script. So I can't really answer your question properly, but fish definitely join when regs are playing HU, but it's too hard to get a sample size on the 4-5 handed tables because they don't run long enough. from my experience, fish definitely join more to a game that is running compared to 2 regs sitting out.

Thanks for the reply. You can select either currency from a drop down. First time I'm playing/ withdrawing from this site in years.

I did 2 min cash outs, one in each currency to test out. Takes a while to process. Lets see which one is better.

"Hello,

PokerStars has become aware of a situation involving a violation of our Terms of Service, to the potential detriment of other players. You participated in games that were under consideration in this case and as a result you may have been adversely affected.

In a case such as this it is our policy to confiscate the balances of the offender(s) and for PokerStars to add funds where appropriate. This compensation pool is then distributed to players potentially affected in as fair a way as possible."

Anyone else got this?

I got like a 300$ refund. Seems a bit worrying.

They might still hit you with fees. Check the deposit page -

Your "settlement currency" is where it says "you will be debited US$"

So those of you who have worked your way up from the micros (I'm at nl2) how much harder does it get along the way? Is it like a bit harder at each stake, like a slow progression, or are there stakes that are a massive jump?

Also, are there still tons of obvious fish above like nl10? Like here fish are VPIP from 40-90 and PFR from 10-30... very easy to spot. Are all of what you guys consider "fish" what would be a decent reg at nl2/nl5 just with a bunch of leaks?
