Anyone interested in DFS (specifically premier league) hit me up, trying to get a skype group set up. It's unreal fun if you actually follow football anyway, no idea if it's possible to be a winner yet but some people do seem to be completely clueless.
dfs is cancer. If u dont take it seriously ur gonna lose money and if u do take it seriously ur gonna spend half a day gathering intel and still having to wait till the game begins to see if someone is injured or not. Esp. bad if u live in a bad timezone. I managed to be profitable in low stakes nba cash (atleast i think cuz dunno how big the variance actually is), but then decided to quit, since it became really boring, dull and time consuming and i had to stay up till 4am sometimes, although i love nba. I dont think dfs is gonna stay profitable for long (unless major boom in europe then maybe for a a short time, unless ur vpning usa sites now), because information is free, calculators are cheap/free (u can also make ur own calculators pretty easily),rake is high and edges are way smaller than in poker.
Yeah I basically agree with that, rake is far too high for it to be long term profitable (10% as far as I can tell).
That said, it is really really fun!
Got a ridiculous slowroll from Mr.Spewy. Guy goes into the tank on the river with straight flush vs my nut flush and types something obnoxious in chat. I thought we were all friends
also may as well say but re: the guy who posted strat about what solvers say to do
he's very right that one way to detect bots is they play differently than humans do to non std bet sizing because of how they are programmed. don't rly wanna say too specific for multiple reasons but it's pretty intuitive and some mentioned in the thread already.
however he seems to either wrongly assume, or poorly explain when talking about the other thing which is of course humans can play non gto (very few play solver style, esp at 200 and below, and many incl those who study solvers will do other strats - basically exploiting)
seemed to imply "humans would never do x cause solvers say not to do that!"
very poor examples were given, which didn't help his case for those who didn't agree and induced some trolling.. a few things that bots currently do are rarely if ever done by humans tho. bots can also learn to improve (and they will) to be less detectable/play better/improve winrate etc.
