I Used to be poker pro.
I worked quite a bit, had a lot of conversations with a lot of differet poke rplayers regullary. However I see some very bad patterns and I wouldn't trust random poker player. Just distribution is pretty bad I would say.
Most are irrespnsible, selected this way of life, because of issues in discipline, not recognition of authority. Also big money in early age skewed perception.
Also a lot of people played poker because gambling is in their blood - there could be some issus with that- i wouldn't like to have emploee who loves to gamble. Even if he doesn't have any troubles with that.
And thats me. Man who played 5millions of hands or so, studied ****load of hours and had 600+ hours in skype meetings. Did a lot of math and raped himself all the time to work when he didin't wan't...
And I still believe, that for emplyer it higher EV not to employ person with poker player tag. Even if some are very rare exceptions.
