yeah guys, you have to realise that it's not just about vpip/pfr and more about your play post flop that will affect your new rate. There are "relative" nits in the fr forum who have seen relatively little drop in vpps (<5%) where as some looser players have complained at their vpp rate dropping by as much as 25%.

I'm getting slightly less (approx 5%), am more than happy with that, if stars find a way to reinvest it into fish or maybe the micros etc. most of you guys should be voting for a rep to propose a reduce in rake though and not for an increase in vpps handed out per $ raked.

it is mostly about postflop play yes
people who rarely play pots postflop(because they raise/fold pre or are just nitty) will rarely be involved in pots which hit the rake cap and therefore get far less vpps

yeah exactly. Sorry, i didn't mean my post to sound patronising, just everyone mentions vpip/pfr and i think some (not urself) overlook the more important aspect in determining it.

Hi guys, I'm looking for some final support to get sent to go talk with PokerStars about the changes to VIP/Rake.

I'm guessing most of you don't know me, because I'm primarily a full ring player. I currently play 1/2, but normally my main games are 2/4 to 5/10.

Right now, I'm the only person that's in the running that plays 100bb NLH. Also, I'm the only guy that's not going there to make demands on what Stars should do. I'm a calm, rational guy, and I will have a much more rational approach to the situation. The other candidates mostly talk about how to manipulate Stars to their benefit. I'm here because I want to talk with Stars about guiding the state of the games to a better spot. That benefits us all, although in a more indirect way.

Probably stating the obvious, but this looks like a pretty lucrative money grab by stars, seeing as not many 40+ vpip players are getting the supernova multiplier or the high volume milestone bonuses.

u might get more vpps if u played 22/8. u don't have to be 40vpip

More VPP reports anyone?

I've got just -6.5% less compared to HEM's VPP report stat, although lolsamplesize of 11k hands and having a sick heater w/ plenty big pots won so I guess that doesn't really tell too much at the moment. NL100, 27/22 FWIW. Haven't played during happy hours either.

fwiw, everyone who is reporting a 10-15% loss should be able to just cover that up with the happy hours unless you play insane hours every day. To cover this gap you need about 25% of your play during happy hours, so thats doable for everyone who isn't playing more then 4 hours-day.

People that play more hours might consider mass tabling during the happy hours to get there volume at 25% during happy hours.
