uh ohhh

I think I remember playing with that PYZ1990 on some 50nl table, he play like 60/4, the other names dont ring a bell
06-07-2012 , 08:50 AM
I've reported them too, along with a hand id for a slow play where both have 2pair and one minbets the river and other just calls.

Fingers crossed they are removed from promo.

Wow I didn't know about the Cash Point Promo. It should be more profitable for 9-max players, since multiway occur much more often here.
And these scumbags just keep on limping and ending the hand as soon as the flop is dealt.

Something strange going on today?!?

I just opened the lobby and not a single shallow table running at 50NL, and only a handful of regular tables(less than normal)
06-07-2012 , 09:59 AM
yeah tables are horbbile, ive opened a started afew up now though.

if someone could write template email or paste what they sent here that would be good!

haha ipoker gonna ipoker, it sets records for a site where every little unethical edge is exploited to the last

Euro betting is so poor its a joke. Finding it very hard to find any value where I dont have to invest anything more than I consider to be "recreational".

I'm just about to head out to Ladbrokes to cash in an old bet and put £10 on a forecast for 1-2 in each group.

Russia/Poland
Holland/Germany
Spain/Italy
France/England

Undecided on straight or reverse forecast though.

Straight forecast is ~640/1
Reverse forecast is ~29/1

Hmmm, think I'll go with £10 on the reverse forcast and £5 on the straight forecast.

I reported via live support, who told me they were forwarding my information to the relevant people at iPoker. This is the gist of what I wrote:

"I would like to report suspicious play and possible collusion in relation to the Cash Point promotion.

There are 3 players who seem to be playing most of their hands together on either 6max or 4max tables, playing lots of limped pots. 3 of them are at or near the top of the leaderboards.

Their names are TonyDon71, Terminator71 and KillerYJ.

PYZ1990 is playing a lot of hands with the others but is only placed on the mid/high leaderboard."

I also gave details of a hand I witnessed where they soft played when both had 2 pair. Hope this helps.

what exactly are those guys doing with the new promotion?
06-07-2012 , 07:42 PM
what is the cash point promo? havent played ipoker for a couple of weeks.
06-07-2012 , 08:09 PM
To get points in the promotion you must see a flop multiway.
If you lose the hand after seeing the flop you get 2 points regardless - if you win a 3way pot you still only get 2 points, 4way you get 3points, 5way 4 points etc

The daily cap is very low - it only counts your first 50 multiway hands. A reg will for the most part be involved in 3 way multiways and will get 2 points / hand win or lose, as the scoring system is dumb! - There may be a couple of 4,5 way pots that he should try to take down to get > 100points/day.
The idea of this promo seems to be targeted more toward fishy players, which is fine.

Unfortunately these particular morons look to have signed up solely to take advantage of this promo, seemingly with an agreement to limp every pot, and to take turns in winning the hand - netting them 6 or 7 points every few multiway hands - and impossible for any honest player to compete :/
As the cap is very low, they are doing it on the micro/low/high leaderboards!

I agree the pointing system trully sucks, but if it can help to attract more fish to the network, then it is a good idea.

Sorry if this is a lol post, but I would appreciate any serious replies.

I was at Aspers the other week playing 1/1. Button is a standard loosey goosey live donk but does nothing too outrageous. I've got about £250 behind, get 7-2o in BB with 6 limpers, flop 777.

I decide to lead out for about £4 to build a pot. Folds to button with roughly same amount behind, who raises to £12. I call (Small 3bet???)

Turn Q, I check he bets £15, I call.

River blank, I check (doh) he checks behind with 66, looks stunned he is beat, angrily throws his cards into the muck and leaves.

I realised I probably should have chosen some ******ed line to maximise value, but what? Just make it 26 on the flop, 20 on the turn and 35 on the river????

Unless he is ultra aggro and spewy vs "weakness" I'd click it back. Not sure if fish perceives it in the similar way the reg does, but the fact is:
- when you call, you almost always have something
- when you re-raise (3-bet) you might be bluffing

You have a great hand, so try to look as bluffy as possible in order to induce a spazz/a hero call.
06-08-2012 , 05:09 AM
Yeah but some people will 'put me on the BB special!' as live donks would put it. I also haven't got too out of line and the guy wasn't really the type to spazz out for stacks. Another thing is, I think a lot of donks have evolved slightly to view big bets/reraises as strength rather than 'Oh he mustn't want a call' (Unless they have seen someone be aggro before, obv).

Since the Q is often killing my action, checking the flop and letting someone hit their boat OTT then just betting/c/raising big has a much better chance of getting it in I guess.

Damn, I registered yesterday, but I can't find myself on the list. When I went to this page:
http://www.ipoker.com/html/cashpoint/main/player
in order to search for my nickname, it says: Oops apparently you are not registered to the promotion. Register now in the lobby and try again tomorrow
