I think everybody is happy about it it's just that nobody had anything to add.

yes. it would be good if ipoker could communicate with players, but we have all come to expect this. at least they have finally done something about it. just be on the lookout for new accounts doing the same sort of thing.

Just asking because my company seems in big trouble (redundancies etc) and I'm looking for options. Being a donkament pro is tempting but also v scary what with the variance and whatwith. I'm pretty sure I am better than a lot of the donkament 'pros' out there today (on ipoker anyway), because a lot of them seem to play really badly (and a lot are just nits).

Thanks!
Just bumping this back up there, also does anyone know if all the major poker sites hold a 6 max donkament, and also for EG is there more than one on sites such as Stars that people have experience of, thanks

if they banned all the Chinese colluders why haven't they reimbursed any of the players?

this is precisley my point. I personally am stuck $2k to the 3 accounts I know the names of, there might be countless others, whatever. Yeh they were shocking at bumhunting and terrible players, but I lost money to them as I know of a few occasions where I was caught in the middle with 99% certainty I was colluded against.

If they banned these accounts on the downlow because they cheated, then what happens to the money I lost, I doubt they wouldve had time to withdraw the funds and they wouldve been confiscated - if they got banned for cheating/colluding. Thats what else I want to know Sandra.

And for the record I took screenshots of 4 of their PTR's and they all stopped playing 24/11/2011 LOL. tksgoodchild/kchild/method92/MrChwDa - all were terrible players and played micros until art and the like came online and then all got seats most days and without question were colluding.

Alright made this little light mod out of stuff I found in the mods thread and created on my own also. I made the green cardbacks high vis and I made the big ol high vis square dealer button as well.
Thinking I might just make some blocky diff single colour chips as well.. I play 9 tiled so I just go for visibility.

It is betsoftpot compatible

if anyone wants it I can upload.

Hey ipoker dudes, played this hand a while ago, not in front of computer so no hh, how do you play it:
6 max .50-1, im playing 26-21ish 2,9agg 3 bet around 8-9% and not afraid to 4 bet bluff....
Villain is semi weird aggro, dont remember his stats, but ive never seen him flat a 4bet oop 100bb deep before.

I raise but w AKos , he 3 bets to like 10, i 4 bet to 21 he flats!
Flop : KJT rainbow, he checks, hero?

Thanks

Ipoker is rigged and I'm not even joking

edit: Sweet deck you got there Bean, I like the simplicity

RevengeAA, I'd probably b/c vs a semi weird aggro guy tbh.

Nice set up Bean.

Don't actually play profesionally, but I would have 6-12 months "life" expenses covered, outside of my bankroll. Having that said, If I was earning 500k/year, I wouldn't count the 12 month life expenses as 500k, but more as 'the minimum money I can comfortably live on'. So this would be rent + basic needs.

Not sure about being a donkament pro, I think there is huge variance involved and I would suggest playing cash games. If you take playing poker very seriously, you can still make a OK income at NL50.

I would highly recommend an honest full bankroll, plus at least three months living expenses, with the plan to save up to six, before thinking of going pro.

I went pro in July on a short bankroll (I had a full BR, but lost a ton of it in the FTP disaster) and I've been doing fine, but not nearly as good as I would have liked. I vastly underestimated the stress of playing for a living while having to pay expenses out of bankroll... if I was fully rolled I would think this is the best job in the world, as it stands, a few bad days in a row (which happens to everyone, on a pretty regular basis) makes me literally sick to my stomach.

Cliffs:

- Be honest about your skill level (most people aren't)
- Be honest with your bankroll management (most people aren't)

- Have backup savings of 3-6 months just in case you think you're succeeding at the other two things, but really, you're failing without noticing

...and you'll be fine.

I assume there is no joke, and now you're just talkin' my language! You forgot to mention the USA bailing people out in WWII, though.

after prospering hugely off the back of arms trading with the whole of europe.......you stay classy Murrriica

The more living expenses you have saved up the easier it is. Guess you have to weigh up the pros and cons as it's obviously not always possible to start in an ideal situation. Be aware that you may find it very stressful if you can't financially cope with a few poor months at the table.
