on another note, i posted this in the other thread, but my brother and his teammate are 6-1 in the world series of beer pong, right in the running. I have half the action, first is 50k.
they are team "bink, bink, game". www.bpong.com lets you sweat the action....they also have their team shirts say "we bink, you drink." on the back. hahaha so sick

thanks. my interest in this sort of thing is basically just an effort to solve my massive tilt problems (in poker and in life) but it's still interesting on its own. eastern philosophy is like thousands of years ahead of western psychology.
world series of beer pong. damn, i wish i had thought of that lol. gl, would be a really cool way to make 25k.

Thinking, Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman looks really good and has received great reviews. It's the next book I will read. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/0374275637
I'm reading Currency Wars by Jim Rickards, which is great if you like economics/investing books. It's pretty interesting with a very well informed historical perspective. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/1591844495

nah was around june '11 at the start of lockpoker. Basically you had to rake 1k dollar and you'd get 300 dollar rb, ipad2 (at the moment roughly 700 dollar here in EU) and bonus from rakerace (had around 115 dollar from that) for 1k rake.
Ended with only 300 dollar profit or something with 15bi below EV, but with the 1200 dollar rb equivalent it was ok

I did have the Ah and I did bet and he raised. I called. River 5h and he shoved.
Now by writing this I do recall that I played a hand vs him once at 200NL where he took the same line with a set vs my AK on Kxx in a 3bet pot.

Gotta love it when they take the fancy pancy line in a spot where bet-bet-bet makes way more money against all the holdings that call the turn c/r

You can change the keys to your current computer by logging into your HEM manager account on their website.

something about Tri has always bothered me. Back when I had a coaching thread he contacted me about making a video series. I thought he was shady so I turned him down. Glad I'm not involved in this! (tho I don't really have anything to hide)

Re: ***OFFICIAL 2012 FTP REGS THREAD***
I stayed in a house in vegas with Tri in 08. Nothing about him seemed shady. I'm at work and don't have time to read that thread right now. I can't vouch for his results or coaching ability.
But again, I never got any inclination he was shady. Of course, even I was still beating MSNL in 08.

Re: ***OFFICIAL 2012 FTP REGS THREAD***
Shady might not be the correct word. I don't think he's a scammer or has malevolent intentions or anything (unless price gauging is considered malevolent). It's more that I am distrusting of his attempts to build a coaching empire without the results to back it up. I remember for example him charging a ridiculous price for a PLO book and showed like a 10k hand sample (or something, can't really recall) of him winning at PLO.
And now he's coaching poker coaches and makes the claim that you don't have to be a winning player to coach... just seems off to me.

Re: ***OFFICIAL 2012 FTP REGS THREAD***
He's not shady but he overexagerates things hugely. If he were in other fields he could probably be sued for false advertising.
Some of his books are good deals imo, but some aren't. Also that how to make 100k at coaching is just actually kind of annoying. Seems like he's just trying to pump out as many books as possible to make as much money. Maybe the book is worth the value but I'm skeptical. What's next how to make 100k at selling poker books?
