I'd call. Every hand that beats you he played extremely bad/makes no sense. Plus like 3:1 odds.
12-08-2009 , 07:43 PM
Also concerning that hand, he timed, then checked, then timed again before shoving. Sounds like he didn't have a damn clue what he was doing, and if he was c/s for value there wouldn't be a second time.

i'm with you Ben....i officially need to take a break before i busto. can't wait for 2k10 to start, this has been the ****tiest year ever.

what's the best play when you're OOP against a loose player on a drawy flop and your hand range beats his range like 60/40 but against widish calling ranges you're 40/60.

and you don't know how much he bluffs?
12-08-2009 , 08:05 PM
can anyone do the math for me on what 81k ftp points would equal in rakeback?
12-08-2009 , 08:06 PM
isn't lynette famously nitty? i think i read that about her on here somewhere.
12-08-2009 , 08:22 PM

I think lynette has like QQ or AA there. QQ she's not confident enough to ship and she is too stupid to fold it, KK she would just shove because she'd be afraid to see an A and wouldn't feel good about but isn't folding KK, and AA she might be stupid enough to think that calling looks weak and "slowplay"

Since you have AK I would shove if you think offsuited ever 4b/folds because that's a lot of dead money if you are flipping with QQ

edit: and fold if he's rarely 4b/folding because there isn't enough money to flip with QQ to make up for drawing so dead

LOL. I think I moved up to 100NL when I had 70 buy-ins for it, and at one point I was playing 50NL with 260 buy-ins just because I was running bad at 100NL and feeling like I was playing awful.
12-08-2009 , 09:04 PM
Roland Specht is a big nit, isn't he? I folded AKo to his UTG 4b and didn't think twice about it, but wanted to double check.

she is def bad enough to not realize that calling shows the same relative strength as shoving here lol

well im assuming a couple of things, that he doesnt need money real bad right now for life and that he is playing well at 100nl. im a huge br nit too and have played with 200BI+ rolls as well. and wont play any stakes i dont have 100 for full time.

If you're going to 3-bet/fold, wouldn't it be better just to flat?

And how many BI are you guys normally sitting on? I was going to try to move up to 200NL around ~8k, that seem good?
12-08-2009 , 09:24 PM
Shot taking at 40bi for that level... man, it's not even shot taking anymore... I guess you did say moving up.

99-JJ, AJs or w/e. im not bothered of offsuited at all considering he super agroo and his size. i think i shove and flip vs both of them
