When threads like this generate the most traffic, there's something wrong with this forum.

as for the forum stuff, I have a suggestion that's very standard on programming forums, but I don't really know if this particular forum can support it.

in microsoft's forums, for example, there's an option for the poster of the question to select the 'best answer' or for other users to suggest it as the best answer which marks it in green for 'confirmed best', yellow for 'suggested best', etc.

I've thought in the past we need a feature like that. More than best answer, something with a quick "thumbs up/down". Exactly like you can do with comments on YouTube.

Problem is it would have to be added via a Vbulletin addon module and would therefore run on the whole forum, so I really doubt there's any way to get it going here. But the strategy forums need it badly, particularly so newer posters can sort the wheat from the chaff.

2+2 seems pretty unprogressive when it comes to stuff like this. I run a VB forum myself, so I can see how basic an install is running here.

Serious answer: Make a thread in ATF and make your case for why you think this is important. Ryan/Mat et al are the people you have to convince for stuff like this, not us.

Not to rain on any parades, but this has been brought up unsuccessfully in
ATF a couple of times.

i don't think i like the idea of "thumbs up/down" because people already get into arguments as it is

I think a sub-form makes sense for all the "Official" threads, that way I don't have to look for the cheese anymore amongst all these crappy hand histories being posted.

i would like to see an option that when i click on thread name instead of little button before that to take me to last unread post instead of 1st post.

maybe there already is something like that or no?
08-04-2010 , 04:26 PM
yea click the arrow next to the thread it will take you to the last unread post

no mentioning directly or indirectly of coaching/paying for information.

like every single time this comes up its from some guy trying to not so subtly advertise that he coaches. its just misleading spam that adds absolutely nothing to any thread.

+1 to a subforum for the non-hand threads.

-1 to the no names decision. i don't think it will enhance thread quality but simply make players bring even more of the decent strat discussion into the reg type threads since threads vs specific players tend to get some of the most interesting discussion going.

What are decent/typical profits($/hr) for multi-Tabling 1/2 no limit.

no specific # of tables, you can specify the # of tables.

You're not going to get a serious answer because it's not a good question.
