In this example villain is pretty solid/aggro. Have seen him take a similar line with semi bluffs, air and made hands.

IPoker, $0.25/$0.50 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

    SB: $11.56 (23.1 bb)
    BB: $61.62 (123.2 bb)
    UTG: $50 (100 bb)
    MP: $46.90 (93.8 bb)
    Hero (CO): $75.67 (151.3 bb)
    BTN: $50.75 (101.5 bb)

Preflop: Hero is CO with K J
UTG folds, MP calls $0.50, Hero raises to $1.50, BTN calls $1.50, 2 folds, MP calls $1

    Flop: ($5.25) K 6 9 (3 players)
MP checks, Hero bets $3.50, BTN raises to $9, 2 folds

    Spoiler:
    Results: $12.25 pot ($0.61 rake)
    Final Board: K 6 9
MP mucked and lost (-$1.50 net)
Hero mucked K J and lost (-$5 net)
BTN mucked and won $11.64 ($6.64 net)

Felt like I was probably ahead but raising seems like total spew, calling and get barrelled on turn and river seems bad too. Is it OK to just fold here?

If u think villain is super Aggro then check behind and control the size of the pot. Your range will be under repped and will probably make villain spazz thinking he can get u off a hand. . Yes sometimes you may just have to "close your eyes" and call. But if you know he is aggro that's what u have to do.

By checking you make your range look weak and induce him to bluff. That's a win for us.

Plan your hands out. Why are u betting 3/4 psb on the flop? Keep the pot small especially if it's a hand u don't want to stack off with.

No one can really tell u how to play this hand bc it's villain dependent. But in general if I think someone is spazzy I check the flop and call when they try to Harrell the flop and turn. This also allows you to get some medium hands and under pairs to showdown as well.

Folding multiway is okay. The BTN is less likely to be bluffing than HU, and at these stakes a lot of players play straightforwardly. You're going to see mainly combo draws, two pair, some NFDs, and sets here which your equity isnt good against.

You're also not c-betting this flop texture too often multiway, so you don't really have to worry about being exploited too much, esp against the 50NL population.

First off, why are you raising preflop? To get more money in the pot or isolate the EP limper? Since you are in MP or really oop, your raise should be to 2.50 or 3.00. Then on the flop, you dont have many back door draws. If a k,q,j or 10 hit, c/c turn. If an A or diamond hits, c/f. Btn is agro and has position so you will be bluff catching without a net. Get to river w/o a flush or A and you might live to see another hand. On a serious note, if agro is to ur left, always bet big w value hands to force him out of your way but if he calls, bet for value don't just cbet. Argos love drawy boards so check call and hope the draw misses.

If you keep folding hands like this, you will get crushed at higher stakes. Both checking calling and bet-calling are fine OTF. I probably prefer betting against a fish in the pot though.

On the occasions he has done this with air, were you multiway? In my experience players that bluff raise tend to stick to doing it in heads up pots where hero's range is quite wide and they are just exploiting you. Decent players bluffing frequencies will also go down when their is a fish in the pot (well, they should, doesnt always work like that though) to the point where some don't even bluff at all multiway with fish in the pot unless they have really good equity.

As exploitable as it probably is, I'd fold flop here given multiwayness + fish in pot unless your reads tell you otherwise. If you happen to call him down and you see that he bluffs air multiway with fish in the pot then add him to your fish list.

Fold is fine here MW, especially since you're OOP. Between the combinations of hands you're behind and bluffing outs your opponent has, you're going to get outplayed here too often if your opponent is at all competent.
