I would of just call too. You are in position. You get to see what happens on the turn first.

I'd fold simply because we have 2 blockers to the hands that are most likely to raise this flop.

If you mean gutters JT/67/78 are all gutters on this board and fold out many more hands with better equity, but do lack blocking potential to a continuing range.

i feel like it means he has a more value heavy range and we obviously don't beat any value raises.

edit: for some reason I thought this was a 3bp. disregard my dumb posts.

I think cbetting here is fine, and checking back is also fine, the latter being a little better as the board is fairly dry and there aren't too many turns that make us regret cbetting.
He doesn't have much value here, only two value hands (being the sets). Usually this is a gut shot or a random bluff and there are lots of GS combos even with us blocking some. I'm perfectly happy calling here and re-evaluating ott. Folding here is awful imo. Probably not folding the turn, either, since there's a decent chance his gut shots will simply pair up. If he barrels river then we can seriously think about folding.
EDIT: Also, I'm not sure how often he x/r with sets here since the board is dry, sure the K is in our range but we also miss this flop a lot which makes me think he is very likely bluffing here with a GS at best for him in terms of equity. Call and be happy to.

Spoiler:

Going to go with call flop and turn. He has no real value range here aside from K9/K5s/55.

I agree that we block JQ, QT which can definitely be in an XR range, but we also block QK which basically counters this.
I'd agree with ur post alot more if we held JJ.

I'd also call flop

Depends a lot of Hero's image imo because it doesn't make sense to have a raising range against a very weak range.
Might be reason to do that either in bluff or value if he thinks Hero will call or fold too much versus this strange action.
Could also be Hero will very often pot control turn so he might want to get max value of his nuts knowing he won't make much more if you were bluffing this spot.

By default there are so few value hands that make sense and given he knows raising cb in bluff, I would call too.

Fold pretty quickly
