NL100 floated flop, picked up draw

I have villian as 25/24/3 with cbet of 80%. I have 270~ hands on him but have only just sat down at this table. He seems decent/laggy reg from stats.

I had a plan in this hand to float the flop, betting the turn when checked too or folding if he fired again if i didnt improve. I didn't really expect him to fire this turn.

I think your pre-flop plan sucks.

I doubt a 25/24 who c-bets the flop 80% of the time is c/f-ing enough turns to make this profitable.

Your plan must include a raise somewhere if you plan to exploit him.

im not sure if you meant pre-flop plan but my plan was thought up after seeing the flop.

putting aside if the flop play is poor or not my thoughts on the turn are "call or raise" as folding just seems bad with the (implied odds?) we have as i was just looking to see what the majority think the best turn play is.

I like a flopraise because it's difficult for him to continue here. much bad turn cards for his range and he is OoP

this villain is likely to spazz to a flop raise because he will assume you 3bet all overpairs you wanna felt and sets are hard to make, so i think floating is fine

Raise turn, he'll assume you're flatting sets/OESD on the flop. I can't see him continuing with much here.

If he calls pray to hit, otherwise I let it go (if a 80% cbetter is sticking around they have something).

Did you have turn cbet stats??

I prefer floating this flop in position and turn depends on turn cbet %

Re: NL100 floated flop, picked up draw

why did you not expect him to fire a blank turn if he's a decent laggy reg?
I don't like putting myself in this spot for that reason. Will he fold TT-KK (AA?) to your raise here? Then that's sweet, do it a bunch.

I'd have folded the flop. As played call the turn.

I agree. Raising reps a lot of strength here. Seeing as how villain is double barreling a lot, I think you have decent fold equity against his range. I would raise smallish (2.5x or so) as it looks even stronger to a thinking player.

If you float the turn bet, you may or may not have the implied odds necessary to make it worth it when you hit, and if you float and miss, he will likely check to you and you will be forced with giving up the hand (or with firing a not-very-convincing, ill-advised bluff).
