Hey DaGrunt, nice post. I had a question for you about tilt, but a more subtle kind of tilt.

I have a problem with putting in volume at 100NL(HU and 6m), simply because I am too scared to play because the idea of losing money that I once had disturbs me. I realize that without risk there is no reward, but I'm looking for some advice to overcome this fear of playing and get over it. I believe I am a winning player at the stakes, but sometimes losing 5 buyins can get to my head. Have you gone through something like this before? For example, even tho I have 85 buyins for the limit, I tend to quit early if I'm up 3 buyins and can never put in a huge day (5-10BI+). In fact, I've never had a 10 buyin day. Ever. Do you have any suggestions on how to overcome this anxiety of playing and dealing with swings, dealing with losses?

btw, can u answer this question :O

thnx

Spent 7 months of year 2010 at Southeast Asia, played very little and very bad during that period. My poker game definetly went downhill a lot during that time period. Having the best time of my life absolutely makes up for that though. Rest of the year grinding a lot more and a lot better, mostly HU lately. Got fed up with 6-max and got into HU and been very happy with my progress and results in the last few months.

Graphs from my two latest screennames:

iPoker (30k hands HU, rest 6max, 1/2 - 3/6. First 80k hands at Thailand, rest back home):

Ongame (all HU, 1/2 - 2/4, 100 hands of 5/10):

I'll be answering other questions later. Have been extremely lazy for most of this year but trying to get my funk back on asap.

Hey!

I realize this SSNL but doesn't cost anything to ask. Do you have any advice for a micro stakes player about hand reading/starting to think in terms of ranges? And what that actually means (what kind of stuff you're saying to yourself while you play?)

And any thing you wish someone would have told you early on when you started that you think would have helped you so much?

Thanks for doing this.
