i've always found girls cuter in sweats and no makeup. like in an airport on early morning flights in their comfy clothes nom nom

sry girls in school don't dress up for your pleasure before class :-). Make yourself pretty for me at all times!, says curve

Well it all depends. Leuven where I study it's a pig place. Most girls don't know how to dress and it's pathetic. In Antwerp most girls dress really nice. I know a cover model and she and her friends are always gorgeous when we go out!

Never having been in the US I can't speak about that but in the UK women look like crap all day as well, often even at work.

It is like they roll out of bed, grab the closest clean piece of clothing and go. In holland (and most continental Europe countries I think most women at least spend some effort (and guys too) every morning. I mean, it is not that hard to at least put up 30 seconds of makeup and some non-Ugg shoes, maybe even some matching clothes!

Some time ago some English businessmen commented that all the women here look like they are about to go out (on a random tuesday afternoon). Not that they looked so great, but the British women tend to really slack.

yeah all my girl friends from Holland always look after themselfs and won't go out without looking nice.

Not so thinly veiled brag

well she's nice, but I've seen far more beautiful women than her here. Photoshop, lightning and make-up do wonders. Sickest thing is that she's been twice model cover of P magazine in Belgium and earns sick money doing it. I'll show you the difference lol.

she's still quite hot imo
02-12-2012 , 06:43 PM
yeah offcourse I never said that she isn't hot, but I mean there is still a big difference. I know girls that are prettier than her without make-up, but maybe that's my own taste lol

She has a killer body though and that makes the difference

Why is popular music so bad? Is it me getting old and crotchety? Like all this ****ing pop music is just atrocious and has been for a good ten years + now. Just seems like revolutionary, genre-changing classic stuff like Nirvana, early hip-hop/rap, even Madonna doesn't really exist any more. It's all AWFUL. I tried to listen to that Adele song that won best song of the year and had to turn it off because it was legitimately ass.

It's not just you, but it could be our age
02-13-2012 , 03:52 AM
Of course it exists, it's just not in the rock/pop/hiphop genres. Whether it'll be influential in the future is another matter. And notice that the people you mentioned are 20 years ago in the case of Nirvana and 30 years for the others. It was dance music that was revolutionary past then - electronic dance music didn't even really exist until the late 80s (please let this not degenerate into a discussion of Kraftwerk or mid 80s acid house)

too much money in music, everyone solid

Pop music has always been bad, the only thing is when we compare the present to the past we're comparing the last few months, maybe last year, to like 20-40 years of mediocre pop music. The only stuff left from the past is the best of it, but from any given year there's not that many decent pop songs that came out. This can be arguable based on a fondness for music from your youth, but disregarding that it should be accurate.

Girls in Japanese colleges dress way up, they wear skirts, lots of makeup, it's awesome

This is not you and this is not new or restricted to the last 10 years.

I mean if you look back at the Billboard top 40s from the 60s or whatever, its chalk-full of **** that no one ever listens to anymore because it has not stood the test of time.

Music that remains popular outside of the memes of the moment is just fairly uncommon, compared to all the other crap that comes out.

Yeah, that Malefiicus dude, I like him. Stuff he says makes sense.
