haha idk why but when i read the title and saw carl was the one posting the HH i was almost 100% sure he was going to flop middle set and be like "what do I do here?"

but yeah i call here, but don't feel insanely great about it. I think it's a lot closer than it looks.

Re: JJ on SB vs BTN 100NL Zoom

considering the reasons you didn't 3bet pre, i don't see why you would then donk the flop..

your hand is much stronger than you're repping though, plus he gave you good odds so i'm calling river and taking a note

i would 3b pre here vs that villain. i like the flop lead a lot even after flatting pre (don't think the 2 are contradictory at all) and would lead the turn too. mind giving reasons for checking turn? it seems to look a lot better for your flop leading range than his.

you win just against few flush draw AhQh, AhTh, Ah2h,Ah3h, Ah4h... 77 turn into a bluff
you lose against 67s,65s,99,66,88

decide a bluff frequency and choose

Meh, with the J of hearts I'm not too thrilled with the call. But I didn't expect him to have A3hh in his cold calling range vs utg.

id of lead the turn again if donking the flop, seems we could get another street of value from worse PP that may check turn them self to PC.

Re: JJ on SB vs BTN 100NL Zoom

I wouldn't even think about folding river really
I like checking the turn against what sounds like an overly aggro villain, especially if we're b/f - lets him bluff with floats and draws and he's likely to bet everything that would call except 77 and 78. I think he bets 9x here.
