Flopped a boat. now what? Flopped a boat. now what?

I just played this hand in a live 1/2 game, I cant help but think I could have gotten more value.
I haven't played many hands with villain, he is an old guy who seems above average. effective stack = 300.
Villain limps utg, 4 others call.
Hero in the SB with Q8hh calls, button checks. Pot=14
Flop: QQ8sdd.
Hero checks, Villain bets 10, Hero calls. everyone else folds. Pot=34
Turn:2h
Hero checks, Villain bets 30, Hero raises to 75, Villain folds.

The other play I considered was calling and leading out on any river trying to make it look like I missed a flush draw and now im bluffing.

Any comments/suggestions are appreciated!

Preflop and Flop seem standard, Turn I think I prefer calling and playing some Rivers. You are essentially only getting his stack if he has Qx himself, if he has a draw and hits River or if he bluffs. By raising Turn you only get calls from Qx and strong draws, both of which would have probably bet River most of the time anyways. You are also getting rid of weak bluffs like gutshots that could have either hit or bluffed the River but are now forced to fold. So call Turn, c/shove most Rivers would be my line.

Unfortunately most monster hands simply won't get paid off. The problem is if you are absolutely smashing the flop, the chances of villain having something is slim. For this example you provided, what could the villain possibly have? You block anything with a Q or an 8. It was limped, so he doesn't have an overpair. Just check/call flop and turn, then lead the river and hope to god he caught something at some point.

Our villain was leading out doing the betting for you, call the turn here and over bet the river (as you suggest) looks bluffy and a PP may just even pay you off plus AK may make a hero call if he thinks it is a missed draw. Now as a contrast of opinions I have friend next to me as I write and he believes a thin value bet is better on the river as this can appear odd so has more chance of being called or even raised! So there you are 2 opinions for the price of 1.... NH!

Calling turn and leading river is optimal imo. You cant afford a checkback on the river. I like a value bet vice overbetting.
