Hey guys, this is my first time posting on here. But anyways I wanted some advice on this hand. I was playing 50c/$1 on ignition.

Hero has A 5 with 75bb and limps in. BB raises to $2.50. Hero calls

Flop is 2 5 5

BB bets $2.00
Hero raises $9.00
BB reraises to $18.00
Hero shoves and is all in
BB calls

I put him on an over pair or maybe something like K5

He flips over AA

Turn is an A
River is a 3


Did I make the right move shoving here?

What position where you in? Wherever you were the limp is probably terrible.

Then fold to the big blind's raise.

With A5o, probably fold, unless if it folds to you on the button, then raise. There is no situation in which you should call preflop with A5o.



On the flop you got all-in vs. a one outer. The one outer hit. You would not have thought twice about the hand had the one outer not hit, would you?

Lucky for you it hit.

Flop is a whole thing. I don't know if you played it as well as possible, but you got all the money in with something like a 95% chance to win. You lost. Oh well. Happens.

But lucky for you is you get to see that really you should have folded pre-flop. The biggest mistake here was not folding pre-flop.

standard would be calling imo, but you got it in good at the end of the day lol. hard to **** it up with tripsTK
