I'm new to this thing and don't really understand it cause I have never had to do it before. What card do you need to make a deposit on poker sites? Is it a debit or credit card? Does the bank review it or do they just see you've taken out money?

In my experience the distinction does not involve debit card versus credit card, but rather card issuer and type of card. For example, Ultimate Poker only accepts MasterCards from certain banks whereas Bovada accepts only Visa cards from a variety of different banks.
