Common spot in BB . btn open->sb 3b Common spot in BB . btn open->sb 3b

I've been trying to figure out exactly what I want to do when I'm in the BB facing a btn open-> sb 3bet.

I generally try not to flat too any hands, although im ip on the 3bettor, the btn gets a good price and often comes along with speculative hands and then im in the middle (with a capped range, I don't nor expect anyone to give me credit for calling qq+ aks.) and the BB can really attack A/K hi and maybe even super dry boards i think.

I think most hands are an obvious fold, but what about suited connectors?

They dont suffer the same reverse implied odds you might have with KQ/AJ (which i would c4 if the bb/btn seem tight or are 3betting out of control) or QT/kt/jt ect.. So postflop play should be pretty str8 forward

That being said something like 87s while having a reasonable amount of preflop equity will have to flop some kind of draw or sdv to continue even past flop.
I ran a sim with the sb 3betting like top 14% (seems average?) and I flop the best hand or a draw like ~25%, but different boards will allow me to realize different amounts of equity so im not sure what to make of these numbers.

Are 78-T9s just a super standard fold ? They're pretty and I feel a need to play them : (

Edit-
Right now my range in this spot is roughly this

c4b - JJ+, AK, 50% AQ, KQ, AJ. (Maybe some A2-5s, but only against super agg 3bettors)

Flat - 77-TT, 50% AQ, * 78- 9Ts ? *

Pretty much folding everything else. Could be a major mistake but im still working on it. I play on bovada so i have 0 concern if my range is narrow/obvious

Suited connectors like implied odds...which are drastically decreased in 3 bet pots most of the time.

Also your flatting range is very narrow and easy to play against.

As you're playing anonymous on Bovada, why would you ever care how your range is actually constructed?

Just take whatever action you think makes most money (of course meaning suited connectors goes out the window).

If you're looking for a balanced approach, it's obviously very different and includes a bit of cold4bet bluffing and certainly some amount of flatting AA etc.

The problem, as you sort of mention, is that people tend to give you a rather narrow range of roughly TT/JJ, AQs and KQs when you coldcall in this spot. While that range is certainly strong enough to match a common SB 3bet, it suffers from the fact that it's capped and easy to play against.

So yeah, you need to flat some premiums too, but at the end of the day you just need to fold a ton.

Thanks for the responses guys

I guess what I was really trying to ask was if playing those hands would be +ev in that spot, like better than the 0ev of folding. I just wasnt sure how exactly to figure that out, but ya you guys make good points.
