Card dead in a cash game

Is there a "rule of thumb" when playing in a casino when you switch tables when you are card dead. I have seen players bounce from table to table, I am wondering what they are seeing to cause them to bounce. I played a table last nite for five hours, it was painful . I was trying to wait out the cards but it never turned. Any suggestions??

Most casinos will make you have a brush transfer you. If you don't feel comfortable at the table you are playing at then move to another table. I rarely move even if I am not catching cards, normally if that is the case I just go home. I have moved tables though when the table I was playing at had some really annoying players or was simply full of nothing but super tight players

The other players should be moving about to find the tables with the fish, or *possibly* to sit at a table which has some of their mates are sitting at.

If you find someone who is seriously moving tables "to get better cards" make sure to follow them to whichever table they go to and sit directly on their left.

just use your tight image to your advantage and open up questionable hands if the table has been paying attention to how tight you were, usually live though this will not be the case so I would suggest to keep playing tight and wait for cards.

TBH it depends on the stakes, at the lower live stakes people dont think about image, its more like "I have 63s .. got to see a flop" They hit a 3 on the flop "I have a pair.. call"

This could actually be a good strategy if people were to perceive you as tight (especially if you are tight!)and then give you no action, by moving tables you get a fresh image.
