Literally my third hand at the table.. I thought his pot size bet on the flop was a little strange.. I just called hoping he would bet turn with plan on shoving when he did.. the third spade gave me pause...

Well it's obvious he's a crazy cat fish that has played the hand terribly. His donk lead on the flop there would suggest to me that he either has suited broadway flush draw or pp <JJ. Him continuing on the turn would suggest to me that he has the former because had he had the latter I don't think betting makes any sense OOP because even if one of his pp cards is a spade it will be no bigger than Js and you (hero) have bigger single spades in your hand that would give him reverse implied odds if you had AsKx AsKs AsAx KsKx QsQx AsQs AsQx AxQs AxKs or even perhaps AsJs AsJx. Here he probably has flush or simply a random bluff that picked up equity such as KsQx. You have to figure out whether the fish has donk lead bluffs with air in his range. If you don't know anything about him then usually this is a flush with two overs that he is now trying to get value from your overpair. That's my two cents.
