[200NL] Nuts and nut draw 4bet on the turn. River pairs board???

Villain has just sat down at table. I've just started playing at IPN so have no reads or stats, but he sat down with a full stack so presumably he's a reg.

Really bizarre hand up to now... What's your play on the river??? (about 1PSB effective)

IPoker, $1/$2 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 players
UTG ($295.69)
MP ($132.10)
CO ($224.00)
Button ($210.00)
HERO (SB) ($442.55)
BB ($212.27)

Preflop: ($3) Hero is BB with A, J
2 folds, CO bets $4, 1 fold, Hero calls to $3, 1 fold,

Flop: ($10) T, K, Q (2 players)
Hero checks, CO checks

Turn: ($10) 5 (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets $6, Hero raises to $24, CO raises to $41, Hero raises to $72, CO calls

River: ($154) 5 (2 players)
Hero ???

Not sure I like your play on the turn but I'd probably just check, call the river.

EDIT - Actually the more I think about it, if he had trips on the flop, why didn't he just shove after your 4bet on the turn? I think 2 pair in definitly in his range and maybe even AA. I'd prob value bet the river.

His range is obv super polarised when he checks back/4bets turn. Really cant see him checking back a set on the flop. The hands that come to mind that he could concievably play like this...55, AJ, J9 but still find it hard to believe he checks back straights, so i guess 55.

As weak as it seems, i prob c/f to a jam

Sorry, didn't have raw HH so used a template then filled in what I remembered. He did CIB on the turn, I just made a mistake writing it up.

My default line vs unknown CO open would be to 3bet AJs preflop but I think your line is OK too.

I'd rather lead on flop to prevent him from checking back. I'm assuming you went for CR. It's hard to build the pot oop often and I just don't like counting on CR.

I'd 4bet bigger on turn so his only option would be 5bet/shove.

As played, river sucks. I'd go for bet/call. If I'm beat there is nothing I can do it's a cooler. That's just me though. If you feel he's got you then I don't think check/calling or check/folding is terrible.

Re: [200NL] Nuts and nut draw 4bet on the turn. River pairs board???

Why 4bet turn bigger? I want to give him as much rope as possible here, because I really expect him to be full of **** alot. Him checking back anything which can 3bet the turn is unfathomable for me. Must encounter this line like 0.1% of the time. I have the nut draw so no need to protect from FDs. If he does somehow have a set I'll jam rivers and ship it, if he has a worse FD I'll jam rivers and ship it. If he has a completely random bluff like JT or something, I wanna give him odds and give him a frustrating price where he has to float or jam.

River is so weird. I am really only afraid of one combo, but I guess it's possible he checked back a set on the flop.

I'd probably just lead turn myself, but as played I'd raise bigger, you're not really inducing a 5-bet bluff from someone nearly enough and there are some rivers that might kill your action.
