What do you guys think about calling the turn here?
Kx shouldn't bet --> he's capped.
I don't expect a random bluff from 98s type hand. There should be enough draws though. But would draws usually bet bigger???
I think there should be an easy solution to this one, easy spot. Comes down to exploitative reads I think.
Villain is a rec, 36/16 25 hands.

2 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

Hero (MP): 275.7 BB
CO: 103.48 BB
BTN: 108.2 BB
SB: 104.45 BB
BB: 31.43 BB
UTG: 106.18 BB

SB posts SB 0.5 BB, BB posts BB 1 BB

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has J J

UTG raises to 3 BB, Hero raises to 9 BB, fold, fold, fold, fold, UTG calls 6 BB

Flop: (19.5 BB, 2 players) K 4 A
UTG checks, Hero checks

Turn: (19.5 BB, 2 players) 3
UTG bets 9.75 BB, Hero ???

I thnk it depends on what your 3bet range and checking range on the flop look like.

Personnally rec or not i'm still 3betting some A5s, A4s that are in my opinion good candidats for checking back on the flop. So knowing that i have some stronger hands in my checking range on the flop i'd personnaly fold JJ

I guess you could also make a case for checking back AK, regarding the fact that you literraly block the calling range on the flop

Calling once should'nt be that terrible but you are complety in the dark if he bets the river as well

I'm not 3b JJ vs UTG open. I'd 3bet more polar range

probably fine vs rec.

AP, fold

he doesn''t have that many bluffs, and we are even blocking QJ/JT.

Just fold. I wouldn't be so quick to discount KQ-KT from his range given his size.

+1

I'd start with a 45% psb otf though. Some worse hands can call, we can deny equity to a lot of different hands, and it's pretty face-up when you x back this flop. It's not like he can raise you liberally on this board either since you have a huge range adv

Also if you x here you get put into a ton of awkward spots on a bunch of turns and rivers. Think x'ing back JJ/QQ with a diamond make more sense in that it blocks their FDs that can call OTF, and gives you playability on diamond turns

Fold looks good. We have enough AJ type hands here when we check back flop.

fold as played, also calling jj and even qq pre in those positions is fine if we prefer a polar 3bet range
